The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a game that, at its core, delivers an intense experience that keeps players on the edge of their seats. I've sunk 322 hours (so far) into this masterpiece, relishing in the adrenaline-fuelled moments it consistently provides.

The game's foundation is strong, authentic and captures the essence of the original horror movie, with some added characters that feel like they belong to the 1974 TCSM Movie. The atmosphere is excellent, the sound design is hauntingly effective, and the overall tension is palpable. The feeling of being pursued by Leatherface & Family and the constant fear make for an adrenalised gaming experience.

However, my enthusiasm is tempered by the developers' questionable choices and decisions. There have been both temporary and permanent missteps that have negatively impacted the players experience & overall player-base count. Certain updates have led to bugs and imbalances that hindered gameplay.

The once-thriving player-base has dwindled, partially or directly due to these issues. One issue that severely impacted the game was the temporary removal of crossplay, the developers failed at basic game security and released a build of the game that included the pdb for every file, giving the cheaters everything they needed for destruction, and as a result the entire PC population was penalised for the actions of a small few and the player count dropped significantly and hasn't risen since, and then to top it all off they gave console players the ability to opt out of crossplay.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre remains a captivating horror experience that I've enjoyed investing hours into and will continue to do so. However, the developers need to address the community's concerns and reevaluate their decisions to ensure the game's longevity. With a bit more polish and player-focused updates, this game could regain its former glory and stick around much longer than Friday the 13th did, they have an amazing game on their hands I just don't believe they're making the right decisions and for that reason alone I currently cannot recommend this game.

Female "nude" options are very limited compared to male. I do not understand how they can make penis physics and multiple look options but there are no boobs physics. And boobs options look plastic/fake, no full natural option. The one Vagina option is censored also, no anatomical details like labia etc. What a disappointment
