The game runs like ass, and loading screens either last 10 decades or do not load at all. This is surely going to be fixed for the full release two weeks from now.

As for the story, it's quite good if you completely forget everything that happened in every other Life is Strange game and especially forget Chloe since the writers just see her as an afterthought. There are two main love interests that are decent, at best.

I think the writers should quit, be re-hired, and then quit again. Maybe then, their redemption arc will be complete.

I still recommend it, since the game story is actually quite nice if you turn off every single memory you have from every single other LIS game. The achievements are nice to have, even though they're broken right now.

As a Life is Strange fan, you'll probably be pissed and rightfully so. If you don't care about the original ending or have not played LIS 1, you won't miss anything of value. The only cool thing is hearing Max go around once more after so long. But that's it.

EDIT: After reflecting overnight about it, this story ruins the characters of Max and Chloe completely, completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over fans of these characters for so long. This is the Halo 4 of the Life is Strange games. I no longer recommend it, but will still play it since I paid for it. It looks pretty, but Max has no business being the protagonist. You HAVE to imagine this is a completely new character and IGNORE the previous games to make it good. You can't just change an already established character and put them into a completely different page in a completely different story and hope that it works. They threw ♥♥♥♥ at the wall and it did not stick.
