It's a fun game that has a lot of pros and several cons. If you enjoyed Planet Coaster a lot of the same systems are identical here. If you know how to play Planet Coaster some of those same pains will follow you to this game.

The graphics are good for a "tycoon" game. The animal animations are good and all of them have great animations and textures. The sounds are amazing and each animal sounds unique.

Pathing is still a pain and this is the same from Planet Coaster. Laying out paths and having them perform the way you want can be a hassle. There are some workarounds to do things, like make plazas, on Youtube if you want more help.

Management is better than Planet Coaster. You can define work zones for your employees to focus them on your habitats. There's not a lot of micromanagement but you have to consider how you want to assign people. Each time I build a habitat I immediately ensure I create a work zone, or add it to another, to ensure I have coverage.

Overall I've barely scratched the surface even after 26 hours. The joy is in creating the habitats for me, and trying to build like real life zoos. All of your animals have specific needs in terrain, plant cover, shelter, and water, and you have to adapt that to your design.

That being said the brilliant construction from Planet Coaster is in full swing. You can build and save your own blueprints and share them on the Steam Workshop. You can also subscribe to others and add them to your zoo. The building system is Lego-esque and with enough time and effort, you can build magnificent creations.

I definitely recommend this to someone who enjoys management-lite games and designing parks/habitats. Thats where this game really shines.

I wanted to enjoy this game, and overall it's a good game but it's drastically suffers from "rinse-and-repeat-itis" like many games. I found myself having completed 50% of the game and realized I wasn't enjoying it.

It's a graphicallyp pretty game, with a steady frame rate. The visuals themselves are top-notch. The audio is equally as good, and the audio queues and weapons sounds, as well as the environmental sounds, are well-done and impressive.

But it has it's flaws. The open world detracts from some of the wonder. There's much running between areas that are filled with nothing exciting to do. The side quests are abysmal and don't really add any value to the game. You could skip them and not miss a beat. The side quest characters were flat and their stories weren't all that exciting and there was no personal investment in the characters.

The design of the tombs was well done, the puzzles generally interesting, and the platforming was reminiscent of the original games. Unfortunately this marred by game-ified mechanics such as "you lost all your gear, and even though you're killing people with AKs, you can't pick one up." It's forced and amateurish. Don't hobble the players agency for the sake of pushing artificial gameplay.

Overall I'd rate this game as 3 of 5 stars, or 6 out of 10. The visuals and tomb design are great, the story is rather rote, the open world is boring and repetitive. If you enjoyed the other recent games of the current trilogy you'll probably still enjoy this one.

Gauntlet is a great game. It reminds me of that arcade classic brought to life. I remembering standing in the arcade with my brothers and sisters playing for hours on end.

The four classes are there: Barbarian (Thor), Valkyrie, Elf and Wizard. Combat is fast and impressive. The visuals are great for a "casual" game that you can sit down and obliterate evil.

The combat is furious and chaotic. Hordes of enemies, boss monsters and little challenges to accomplish.

Buy it!

This game is asymmetrically balanced; there aren't very many hard counters. There's a steep learning curve, but it is worth toughing it out to learn it. Cooperation is a must, Marines must work together and coordinate their activities while the Aliens need to communicate to pressure the marines just as much. I recommend this game to anyone who desires a challenging FPS with an emphasis on teamwork.
