When just the music is enough to summon tears, I can't reccomend a work of art like planetarian more. It may be short, but just sit back, have some tissues nearby and set the game on auto.

Warframe's combat is awesome. This is a third-person shooter where you dash around, shooting or slicing your way through robots, heavily armoured marines or infested zombie-like creatures. Or, you use your powers to stomp so hard they either die or float around, discharge thousands of volts into their systems or stab them with a dozen javelins.

The gameplay doesn't get boring easily; you have a variety of enemies to fight against, with different game modes to satisfy your desire to either fight endless waves of enemies, capture a specific target, and more. Boss battles are interesting, with a couple of them now possessing separate battle phases with different required strategies and weakspots to target, while the weapon customization can keep you busy creating the best loadout to slaughter different enemies with. Collecting different frames and weapons allows for a multitude of playstyles too, with different focuses depending on how you build your mod loadouts.

However, Warframe lacks a story that draws you in. Sure it's fun to kill hordes of ever growing varieties of enemies in different environments, and I've enjoyed all that. However, you're essentially farming for materials to build your frames and weapons with, sometimes killing the same boss over and over again, hoping that RNGesus gives you the drop you want. Why are you killing this boss? Well, the Lotus says this and that while you're on your way to kill him. But is there enough lore behind the game? Not yet. Sure, Digital Extremes is working on the Lore, especially with the Codex, but why not have us live through the backstory a bit more? The events are nice, adding to the constantly evolving world that Warframe is set within, but backstory-wise Warframe lacks the substance that should be there.

Overall Warframe is a great Free to Play game - the only paid-only items are cosmetic, or weapon/frame slots, which you get starting amounts of cash currency, Platinum, to buy a few with. And if you insist on not paying a single cent on the game, you could always keep building and sell weapons to keep slots free for new content. You get relatively frequent updates, with developers who actually listen to the players and respond on their forums. Pay to Win is not a problem - this is a co-op PvE game in essense, after all, and all the weapons and items can be obtained with enough time and effort. And honestly, it's pretty fun to play. I've wasted enough hours of enjoyment on it to say that.
