Game has been out for weeks and on PC its only playable if you're willing to restart and restart and restart and... You get the point. Any time there is a blur effect, or more than two wrestlers on the screen, there's a chance the whole game crashes and this happens, well, a lot. Love the fundamentals (the customisation, the combat, etc.) however the next patch *has* to be soon and *has* to fix the constant crashes, its exhausting and disappointing that I can't recommend this to anyone yet.

Update: There's been another update since this comment has been posted. The issues have persisted, fluctuating between hours of uninterrupted play to having to reload the game every five minutes.Still ridiculous 2k haven't resolved these issues for PC users yet.

Second update: The game has gotten even worse. The only thing you can really do without a guaranteed crash is create a wrestler or belt. If you edit move-sets, its likely to crash at any time, same with customisation of entrances or victories. God forbid you try and play a match, I haven't been able to finish one in a week without it crashing, even if its a singles match with 0 crowd density and no other complicating elements. The face the game is so completely broken for some players, and we've this long without an effective patch, is pretty galling given what they're charging. Love a lot of what this game is offering, but until its fixed I cannot in good faith suggest anyone buys it for fear of them encountering the same issues I and others are having, despite it not being the case foe everyone!

Third Update: Left it for a couple months, got tired of the constant restarting, especially when they started increasing in frequency. I had some optimism that they might fix it within a couple of updates. Unfortunately, even after a couple of updates the "Graphics Device Removed" error is still happening. I'll probably check in again sometime in the future, but it honestly seems that 2k22 have either produced a game that has such deep flaws they don't know how to fix it, or they feel that it isn't a problem worth fixing because of the numbers experiencing it. In either case, it isn't a good look.

Having sunk 32 hours into this game over a number of years I can still, even in 2020, justify buying it (especially if you can get it and the DLC for a good price on sale.)( We often talk about the "replayability" of video games and I can absolutely guarantee that you can reply and replay this game a thousand times over and have an utterly unique experience on every single occasion! Whether you start at the lofty heights as emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, start as a small viking leader, strike out to become King of Ireland from one of the smaller petty kingdoms (my favourite start) or whatever else, you're guaranteed to find a host of friends, allies, villains and often hilarity. You will find yourself getting attached to certain rulers, very invested in their affairs and developing substantial and unjustifiable levels of animus towards characters who are fictional lines of code on your PC.

The game becomes even more replayable if you and a friend join forces or face off on multiplayer, and if you explore the huge expanse of mods that are available (the Game of Thrones mod is particularly impressive!)

Enough gushing, all I can say is I would thoroughly reccomend it, it's given me years of fun and memories.
