This is the first game I purchased for myself in years I wanted to try it out more after playing one short map at a friends. I bought the Super Citizen Edition for fun, I am one that does pay for designs and skins if they are cool and I like them. I like to support developers and artists when I enjoy their content. My issue about this is I don't need or want to create a PSN account.

I bought the game not on day one so I wasn't aware of the history about the PSN account. "Requires 3rd-Party Account: PlayStation Network (Supports Linking to Steam Account)" is not accurate at the time I purchased the game and played it and now Sony is trying to enforce it. When I signed in to the game I had the option to skip a PSN account which I did because I didn't want to make one. Had I been met with having to create a Sony account I would have not played a minuet of it and just got a refund. As of right now I will be requesting a refund as it was not clear you needed a PSN account to play the game at all. I thought that was required only for cross-platform play. Everyone I know plays this on a PC so cross-play was never a need of mine. I can see if you want cross-platform play then creating a PSN account would be a required.

The game play is a space robot/bug free for all battle. The friendly fire idea is also fun because you have to be aware it adds another depth besides just the enemy and you can't control where team mates will be or what they will do. It is unique but the way to summon things can be a bit tricky to do while being swarmed by bugs. It can be a bit difficult to figure out what you need to do. Training is more about the basics of game play, then you get dropped on a world with some basic idea of what you have to do and figure it out from there.

You really do need some friends to play this game it's not as much fun when you are solo. Ideally you'd have 4 friends you can always jump in a game and play with. It took me a while before I figured out that the yellow missions were ones I had to complete but the others on a world with a 1/4 meant 1 player was already playing there. I saw very few 2/4 or 3/4 games were you actually had a crew to play with. I have 10 hours in the game and still feel like I don't know really how to play besides I get dropped down and can summon things and shoot at robots and bugs. I tried robots once but kept dying. I didn't understand the strategy changed between bugs and robots which is cool but my suggestion would be to watch some videos of the game play first to get an idea of what is expected for each type of mission.
