Disorienting, paradoxical puzzler. A slight drawback is that some of the puzzles are very fiddly to get right even when you know the answer. But overall it's a solidly enjoyable brainbreaker.

Neat platformer with imaginative gameplay and visual design. Cool music. Hard, but not too hard to complete the main mission.

Like The Sims but with feudalism and (even more) murder.

Beautiful hand-drawn art and expressive design like a cozy children's book, wordless story told by images and symbols, and atmospheric soundtrack. All the good hallmarks of an Amanita game.

Short but competent rhythm-platformer. I wish the developer delved even further into this interesting concept and had made the game a bit longer.

The puzzles and the lack of interactivity are the weak points in this adventure game from the tail end of the genre's "dying days" (it has, of course, been raised from the dead since then). Scenes have very few interactive points of interest, and all puzzles are extremely easy and have few steps. A lot more time is spent walking between scenes watching very slow stair-walking animations and in dialogues than thinking about puzzles. Therefore it's lucky that dialogue, setting, and a strangely melancholic storyline about lost and forgotten places and people, are some of the stronger points of the game. While the clockpunk post-Soviet setting is interesting, it paints its prerendered backgrounds in an unnecessarily muted brown-grey-beige colour palette - a dash of colour here and there would really have made it more interesting to look at towards the final stretch.

All in all, this is a decent pick-up if you're a fan of the genre and time period, but then only if you have already burned through the actual classics first.

I think this is the best Amanita game to date. The visuals, the music, the mood, all spot on.

Early Access Review
Fun themes, many viable strategies, and a lot of depth. Definitely worth playing.

Very well-designed puzzles based on a fantastic concept. Great humorous atmosphere. And such tasty cake!
