i was really into this at first. art-wise, the style is adorable and very pleasing. the game itself is fun, in the way all point-and-clicks are, though it did have a lot more running back and forth than some others and had more sturdy of a railway that it kept you on so you couldn't progress further than where it wanted you to at the time. the story concept was interesting (if a bit heavy-handed in the way it tried to push innocence as the most valuable of commodities) and i was mostly on board with it up until the finale. after everything that happened, i'm not sure what exactly i was meant to take away since the ending was a lackluster tying of loose ends that answered next to nothing and left me with an aftertaste not unlike what you'd find after biting into something half-ripe.

overall, how anyone completes this game without feeling unsatisfied or, personally speaking, infuratiated at the quite frankly garbage narrative is just another mystery i have no choice but to throw into the pile with the rest of the questions i have and then set alight.
