The idea of space and aliens always fascinated me.
I love strategy games.
Stellaris is a perfect fit for me. It has its weaknesses, both gameplay-wise, and in its performance. But it has a magical feeling that I just cant resist. The depth is awesome, and the visual style is fascinating. I mean, a paradox game with epic animated battles? How can you say no.
The dlc policy is hard, with high prices for many different dlc, but you should still look out for them on sale.

10/10 would recommend

Definitely one of the greatest expansion packs ever released for a game. It feels not only as a expansion, but also as a completely new game. 3 new factions with 3 new classes, new enemies including the Lost, and especially the new Chosen as extremely strong enemies that really change gameplay a lot.
And even more immersion with new mechanics like soldier bonds and oropagande photos.
If you have XCOM 2, definitely get this one too. It frequently even goes on sale and can be even cheaper in the bundle!

Epic game. The turn-based battles have a lot of tactical depth and are really fun to play. The graphics and customization options are awesome and create a huge immersion in this world, making you connect to your soldiers and the whole XCOM organisation. The design of the alien enemies are interesting and everytime you meet a new one feels really exciting.
And last but not least: the steam workshop offers a huge amount of mods for almost everything; gameplay, UI, more customization options, QoL improvements etc. are all covered with mods, and you should definitely look there!

A huge open world to explore and just have fun driving in. Racing is fun too, and whilst the story missions dont have that much story to them, they are extremely nice and fun to play.

Just dont

This game isnt bad. It is just not complete.
Playing the game is quite fun and can entertain you for a while, but after some while you will recognise that some features are missing. The editors are great, but why cant I just download mods instantly via the workshop? Sadly, updates are extremely rare, and the game can therfore be described as almost abandoned.

It is hard to decide if I should recommend or not. For the price the game is good, but if you have more money ready you should look for more finished products.

One of the best games out there! You are completely free in your possibilities. Watching empires and dynasties rise and fall is simply satisfying, and starting as a count to become an emperor in the end is the best feeling you could have.
Should you buy it? Definitely yes!

I love it. It may be hard to learn, and maybe it is worse than Civ5, but playing this game is just a nice and relaxing time. Watching your civilization grow and grow is nice. Would definitely recommend to get the two addons too!

This game is epic. Building cities is very fun. But I think the best part is the mods! You want to control traffic? TM:PE got your back! Want to build beautiful? A lot of assets and free place mods are ready! Be sure to check the workshop to make this great game even better!

The freedom you have with this game is absolutely awesome. You can do so may things in this world, and even more with the 2 great dlcs. Definitely worth a buy! Also, check out mods if you think you have seen everything.
