This is the game that got me into video games over 20 years ago. A heat-warming amazing story with fun strategic combat. Amazing characters, a wonderful narrative, bright and enjoyable graphics. Grandia is timeless. If you like JRPGS at all, give it a chance and it will charm you.

It has its ups and downs but is an overall positive experience and is a nice way to end Clementine's story. If you've been following this series for years it's a must play.

Early Access Review
Quake Champions is an interesting game, and people seem to be divided on it. Most complaints have to do with Performance, netcode, and loot boxes. Performance is iffy, it seems to vary system to system, patch to patch. For me personally i've always been able to get over 110fps, which isn't the 144 i want but it's acceptable.

I haven't experienced too many bad netcode issues, occasionally I'll die behind a corner but it's rare enough. Client side hit detection is fine with me, it would be near impossible to play with anyone over 40 ping otherwise. I agree it could be slightly better but I've never experienced a game where I thought I would have won if hit detection was better.

Loot boxes are another thing, the game is plenty generous with the lowest tier box and the second tier chests are decently available, you'll be getting a chest or two a day due to leveling and Rune challenges. The one paid lootbox in the game is trash however and for the equivalent of $4 real world dollars is kind of an insult, it says it drops high quality gear but can drop greys and greens as often as it drops purps and golds. It's important to remember that loot boxes are ENTIRELY COSMETIC and have no gameplay effect. I'm not happy with how many lower quality items there are that take up the loot pool and with high tier boxes but it's not a dealbreaker for me.

I've also heard that the game has some cheaters, which I don't doubt is true but I can't say I've ran into a person I can 100% be sure is cheating. However I've been accused of cheating multiple times, even in highish ELOs so I think players calling cheats may be biased.

The most important part of a quake game is the gameplay and I've been very satisfied with it. Aside from one or two "ultimate" abilities the game seems to be balanced very well, all the weapons feel like they should and are satisfying to use and to combo. There are a few characters with different movement styles that spice up the game if you want to take the time to learn them as well as normal Quake movement which is very fun to master in itself. I've never really lost a game where I felt that I was better than an opponent but they won due to character choice except maybe with the new Death Knight character but I'm confident he'll recieve a rework. The game is definitely brutal for new players and if you have no prior experience with arena shooters you're going to get your ass handed to you for a while, but thankfully matchmaking seems to have been improved and during the day there's a big enough pool of players where your games will be relatively balanced. A larger playerbase would improve this however. If you're picking up a Quake game or an Arena shooter game for the first time you're going to have to be patient and learn but if you do you'll be rewarded with dopamine rush after dopamine rush of getting cooler and cooler kills that once seemed like a pipe dream.

In conclusion, Quake Champions has issues, and despite a few changes that make it more friendly to newcomers is still a very hard game to pick up. But if you take the time to improve and don't get too frustrated you will find it an extremely rewarding test of FPS abilities. If you are interested in a fragfest game with an infinite skill ceiling and can grind for personal improvement I think it's defintely worth getting, especially if you can pick it up for free and if you like playing as the starting champ, Ranger, then the whole champions pack may be worth buying. I recommend this game with the caveat that if you haven't had prior arena shooter experience it might still be too intimidating of a climb even if it is the most newcomer friendly version of Quake.

If you're not familiar with Visual Novels it can be pretty tedious to get past the first 30ish minutes. However it's very worth it. I won't spoil it but this game is much more than it advertises.

If activision was selling this for $15 it would be a decent way to spend 8-10 hours and possibly a fun way to waste time. Considering that they actually are going to charge $60 for this, and $100 for the deluxe edition we're going to have to rate this at a solid 4/10. No way.

I bought this game to teach my child about her body, and I was excited about the opportunity to bond with her in this fashion. However, little did I know about all of the pictures of nude women in this game. The almost 'erotic' quality of these photos were not for children! Then when we got to the parts that involved naked men, I shut closed the game. She didn't need to see those pictures. Later, when she was asleep - I played the game alone and found unbelievable pictures of men and women performing the strangest acts on each other! What is my child going to learn from this? How to be a Karma Sutra expert? No, thanks. She gets plenty of that from her father.
