I can show you the Brave New World. Shining, shimmering, splendid. But like all the Civilizations you'd have to get this additional DLC to really appreciate a fleshed out game.

Defying the contemporary view of "Valve time" with a sequel that followed soon after, this game's time in the sun was short. Yes Left 4 Dead 2 brought to the table everything Left 4 Dead did and more but for a short time this game was the bees knees. There's no spitter, no charger, no boomer bile and less maps but everything this game did was transferred over to Left 4 Dead 2.

I'd argue that Left 4 Dead had the better starring cast with a military element in Bill, a biker tough guy element in Francis, a smart guy comedic relief in Louis (PILLS!) and a street smart Zoey. Left 4 Dead 2 has more of a stereotypical redneck that supposedly knows weaponry in Ellis, a mildly obese sport coach in Coach, a vacationer looking verbose Nick and hood I guess Rochelle. Left 4 Dead has classic maps with an interweaving story in No Mercy Hospital, Death Toll, Dead Air and Blood Harvest. Left 4 Dead 2 has a southern theme and the theme is predominant. Theme over story to an extent. Like I imagine if a zombie apocalypse occurred I would try a hospital top and an airport. I'm not going out in the steamy humid bayou to see what's going on there. Neither game ventured into how the apocalypse effected animals when really the southern themed one could have thrown a mutated crocodile in there.
All in all it's the great gameplay that rocks on on center stage here. If there's one tip I can give you it's to throw molotovs at tanks because for whatever reason they burn till they die. It's extremely useful because it forces the tanks hand in versus in particular. Diversify who has what weapon if you're trying for an expert campaign run or a game of versus.

So do I recommend this game? Yes, though I recommend Left 4 Dead 2 more. For a solid year this game was great and nobody thought anything of a sequel in the world of Valve time.

On the road again.

A great game in the Fallout franchise. The game was done by Obsidian Entertainment and only published by Bethesda but don't let that lead you astray. There's much to this game just don't be surprised if you end this game on a bad note. For me it was going two hours without a manual save wandering the wasteland and then getting stuck in a rock. Didn't feel like playing through all that again.

Not blown away by this. I thought it'd be more of a Total War DLC pinnacle considering how much the Romans drew from the Greeks.

A well done entry by Total War. You'll find yourself lost in a campaign for hours on end. Go online and there's plenty of tactical battles of strategy and/or strategical battles of tactic to be had with other players. There's a lot of DLCs as is the usual to Total War nowadays. I picked up the Greek States Culture Pack and was not blown away by it. Given the storied modern era of defining Civilization with law and order that Rome brought Europe to I thought the throwback to the Greek empire would have been well worth nine dollars. There's enough to this game that you don't need the DLCs unless you find yourself infatuated with this game.

As far as being a place to start or go to in your own Total War experience(s) I'd say it's a personal decision between your computer and your love of history. It's THE Roman Empire and doesn't run as a hard on your computer as some of the newer Total Wars do. I've lost a video card to a Total War induced purple screen back when playing Shogun 2 though so I implore the reader to weigh that in their choice of Total War.

A fun simple zombie game deserving of more attention then it has thus far garnered. Whether you're trying to infect as the white zombie or massing for an all out rush there's plenty to the zombie side. Whether you're fortifying a room, gathering somewhere in the open or trying to kite solo there's plenty to the human side. Find yourself a community server with some regular maps in rotation you can acclimate to and the time flies by. As good as Left 4 Dead is this source engine game brings something unique to the table and is remarkably free. The game's style encourages using your microphone to talk to your teammates and in its zenith has some of those ecstatic breakthrough "Oh No!" and "Muhahaha!" moments that culminate into some fun memories.
