reminds me a lot of NGU idle, and it scratches the same itch

Honestly pretty fun. I've been playing NGU Idle for many months now (6000+ hours logged), and it's fun to be able to get into Industries on the ground floor. It feels like early game of Idle for me - lots of optimization to do, but still able to 'idle' it effectively for progress if you have time. The interface needs work, but I think that'll get sorted over time. Overall pretty good if you're into this genre.

Ultimate Chicken Horse is a staple for my couch co-op game nights. We're pretty much on a rotation of this, Overcooked, Lethal League, Duck Game, and Knight Squad when we have more than four players. Absolutely worth the money.

I try a lot of local multiplayer games, and this one's probably one of my favorites - it scales pretty well to the number of players (some other ones don't work so well if you don't have a full four), and its Custom Match modes have a LOT of options to make the game more and more replayable. I haven't tried single player, but this is definitely worth it for the multiplayer alone.

Unfortunately haven't had the time to go through multiple endings. I liked the story and the character I did see, though. Hoping to get through the rest of it sometime soon to see if the game and characters have the depth I hope they have.

I start my attempts to play at least a little bit of every game I own with this, Alpha Kimori 1.

I quickly give up on those attempts. This game is just bad. If low quality RPGmaker games with mediocre stories are your thing, then go for it, but I like my games to feel playable - and if the selling point is your story, then it should at least be *okay*. But this is just a boring story with boring gameplay inside a clunky framework.

I got this in a bundle years ago, and decided to finally pick it up and play it a few days ago. Verdict: this is not a good game.

I was shocked to see that it was $15 in the store. I would not pay this much for this game. I would not pay HALF this much for this game. I would not even pay a dollar for this game. Really, except that this game came bundled with other games I was at least somewhat interested in, I wouldn't own it. But I do, and I played it for a little bit, and now I can hopefully convince YOU not to buy it.

The combat system is interesting! ...for about two seconds. The mechanics of fighting aren't "fun," they're just a timesink. Battles are designed to just... waste your time. Fill in time. I don't know. The game moves pretty slowly, partially because of that, and partially because the system is really clunky. Spam too much of the attack button because combat moves so slow and you just want to move on? Be prepared to keep attacking when you're supposed to twitch react for a defense. Trying to spam your ability so you use it as soon as you finish attacking? Nope, we'll just keep on attacking afterwards because you hit any button at all while attacking initially.

But to be honest, the clunkiness isn't that bad, you can get over it - but it doesn't help an already unfun combat system in any way. Or an unfun overworld - there isn't really gameplay outside of combat, except for talking with people - which is okay, if strangely translated. I mean, it has voiceacting - entirely in Japanese, sure, since it didn't get localized with the text, but they're talking and feel like better characters because of it. But not enough to justify it - really you're getting a bad slideshow story with tedium between the scenes.

Not a good game.
