Performance isn't even THAT terrible, it's the input itself that has awful latency and seemingly a terrible polling rate that makes it feel like it runs awfully no matter what frames you're getting.

This looks worse than what baked lighting could achieve several years ago, except it does it with significantly worse performance despite running at a lower resolution in a game that doesn't even need it to begin with.

This showcases everything wrong about this technology and should serve as a prime example as for why it shouldn't be used.

A fresh and polished take on the first person hero shooter genre.

Despite sharing many similarities with other games in the genre it manages to be it's own thing. The main differences being the arcadey and precise accuracy on weapons regardless of your movement, the lack of overpowered ultimate abilities and most importantly the shard card system which can completely alter how a round plays out. This system manages to strike a very good balance between fun and fair by taking out some of the crazier cards from ranked play as well as a ban system.

I've been playing the "Outbreak" zombie mode a lot and have noticed countless good changes being made live every other day, such as balancing changes to cards or blocking off spots that zombies can't get to. The developers seem to be extremely aware of ongoing issues and are very quick to fix them in a good way.

Like others have already mentioned, the multiple currencies available in the game are fully obtainable for free by playing the game and completing challenges. There is only one premium currency.

Another concern I have seen is the cost to unlock the lancers (heroes), which I also thought was quite high at first, but upon playing some more I have managed to unlock all of them within less than 40 hours, so I don't think it's a problem.

Very charming visual style that I would love to see more of, exception being the UI.

Sadly the gameplay feels very cheap. Enemies seemingly just know where you are at all times and start chasing you out of nowhere, pathfinding is easy to trick, objectives feel stale and overall it feels a bit like a walking simulator with some simple enemy clutter to fill the space.

I played this a few years back until my save eventually got corrupted and I lost all my progress and desire to play the game.

Just decided to give it another go, assuming the issue I ran into back then had been fixed. I managed to play for about 15 hours before it started crashing. I cleared items, removed the latest part of my factory, validated game files, but it still crashes within a minute of loading the save.

Once again, I'm left with the same disappointment I felt years ago.

It's a cute little game with a nice vibe, but it was a lot easier than I expected and didn't really contain any difficult puzzles. Only took me about 3 hours to finish and has no incentive to be replayed. I don't feel like I got my money's worth despite getting it on sale.
