Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2017)

As a player of the classic "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" game, and have been since it's initial release, I can honestly recommend this remaster quite strongly.

It's very clear to be the product of what Infinity Ward wanted to achieve with the original game, but lacked the graphics, experience and military knowledge to be able to present it as such back in 2007.

PROS and CONS - Remaster-Wise:

PROS
  • Atmosphere of Original game preserved.

  • Added content - Only to the world around, there's more going on in the background, more depth and detail.

  • Stunning graphics.

  • Beautiful User Interface.

  • For Military fanatics - More authentic equipment (e.g: CamelBaks, Webbing, etc.), gear and weapons.

  • Original Music and Voices preserved.

  • Despite little details and little moments (such as being able to USE the SAS Obstacle Course as a mini objective), the game is the same, the missions are just as they were back in '07.

CONS:
  • Loading screens aren't the best speed-wise. After the loading screen 'cutscene' finishes, the loading bar is always stuck at half-way for a few moments.

  • The hefty price tag - I love this remaster, I love the game, I still think the price is quite steep considering it's not a 'new' game per se. It's a great remaster, and should be a lot cheaper considering you're wanting to give people a reason to purchase a remaster of a game they already have played and/or still own .
