Day 1 issues come and go

Liberty is forever

Have you ever wanted to a game that has god awful FPS while also requiring split second decisions? What about a game with horrible camera controls, glitchy textures, and random pop-ins? If you said yes, than this is your game. Passed my 2 hour mark so I guess I'll wait to see if it gets better. Nowhere near worth $70

I nearly gave this game a negative review, it's easy to get frustrated in the beginning. Getting used to the way combat is designed, mixed with the way they have saving system set up is enough to make you want to punch a baby. That being said, Ink Stains have a gem here even if it's a bit unpolished.

If you get the game, my best advice is to take your time at the start. Get a couple levels by farming wolves, boars, and bandits before doing your first contract. Having those first few skills will go a long way. I also stayed in the first town for awhile, even after I was able to progress in the story since the next area has significantly harder contracts. And ALWAYS save before you accept a contract, not after. That way, if you get one that's too tough you're not stuck with it.

All in all, a really good game. Combat design mixed with the randomly generated dungeons make this an interesting roguelike while the simple art design gives you an easy going vibe. Fingers crossed this game doesn't get stuck in Early Access purgatory.

Game is surprisingly fun for how basic it is, although 10 bucks seems a bit expenive for the same simplistic reason. This last update is bulls**t however. Before, you could pick what moves your gladiator did in the arena. Now it's "advanced AI" just does it's ultimate until your stamina is completely drained. Matches that should only take 3 moves to win now take 20 and I get to the point of wanting to throw my computer at a wall.

I still recommend this game, but get your sh*t together Raptor Claw.
