I loved the first one and this is an improvement in every single way. The combat feels snappier and easier to understand, especially now that outnumbering enemies don't all attack you at once. Graphical fidelity is excellent, haven't encountered a single bug, and the writing & art direction is as great as always.

I love this game.

Incredible city builder/simulation that reminds me of Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld.

The free demo is the full game, just one update behind the paid version.

Pros:
[+] Excellent action-based combat. Every movement, attack, and ability feels like it has real weight and significance behind it.
[+] Most vocations/classes feel very good to play, some (Trickster) are downright awful.
[+] Exploration is done pretty well. The environments look great, there's chests and caves around every corner, and I don't think I've seen a reused asset during my playthrough.
[+] The pawn system. It's what make the Dragon's Dogma games so great- it's so cool creating your main pawn and seeing them be loaned out to other players, completing quests and learning even more.

Cons:
[-] Micro-transactions do not belong in single player games. Even though you'll never need to buy them, Capcom is preying on the uninformed and financially vulnerable.
[-] Story? What story? (Just like the first game.)
[-] Useless systems that aren't fleshed out in the slightest: ie, romance and affinity, gift giving, etc.
[-] Mob density. It's great being able to fight so many enemies when you're a low level since it's easy XP, but it becomes incredibly draining to just travel and explore once you reach regions like Battahl.
[-] Mob variety. There's even less than Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Too many game breaking bugs. Makes me want a refund now.

God I love this game.

Incredible co-op game. Reminds me of L4D2 but with Warhammer flavor.
