You get what you pay for with this game, althought its not that indepth I think its a pleasant easy-going game with simple city build mechanics that reminds of catan but single-player

Its missing a great HOOK but when i purchased it I was satisfied playing what It gave.

we need more chill games nowadays and im glad to say this is a nice and chill game indeed.

Overwatch first came out back then and I was impressed. It truly was a different shooter focusing on timing and non-hitscan weapons which made it fun to play and hard to master.

Almost every character except very few had hitscan weapons and thats what made it stand out to me

I enjoyed what i played even ranked but then they started to nerf alot of characters. When it first came out you could fairly 1v1 a tank as a dmg or a dmg/tank as a support

but now featurecreep/powercreep is a big factor in the game. Theyre making alot more hero's hitscan and better than base rouster rather than different play styles

I am truly disappoint in this factor most. The game feels like a chore because now you're waiting for your team to fully revive every time you lose an engagement due to only having 1 tank now

You gotta pay for new hero's unless you wanna grind 50 hours for each one. (ridiculous these companies are brain dead)

The game was truly different than TF2 because of its approach to non-hitscan attacks and special moves. and I admit I enjoyed it the most because it wasn't like TF2 because of that

but now the game just keeps disappointing me more.

I still play it to despite all this, but im only waiting for another game to do as good with non-hitscan movesets. I hope that happens and is rewarded to a company that deserves it.

I've played a good handful of RTS's but XCOM:EU and XCOM2 are the only ones that truly made the single player RTS fun to play an very engaging

The time management system is truly still different to this day and choosing what to upgrade and what to not will impact your runs to a meaningful degree everytime

I understand the % system for hits can be BS but everything else the game has to offer is worth looking past that

Its simple to learn and can get very tough to master. But every moment in between mastering it is always a joy

Bravo

the most SOCOM feeling third person game, and one of the best we have on PC

Pretty grind heavy, however as long your teammates are awake and know when to peak out and push. Its not that bad starting out

Again though the grind is heavy, and since it is free to play It can be excused as long as you stick to one class

The best mode is the 4v4 non comp one

Its arcade and the rounds are never too long, however due to the rounds being short they didnt account for the pop-up objective in the mode and makes it RNG to win fairly if you play the objective

with that said, I still enjoy it time to time. and is best played casually.

at least until we get a "real" socom competitor on pc...

Early Access Review
A fair and casual game, that has a grind but doesn't put all the fun behind hundreds of hours of grinding

You get basic tanks, heli's and humvee's. that don't get upgrades that are objectively better than one another.

Guns are fair enough but if you play recon you are now rewarded for scanning and scouting as recon.

Servers and the 127v127 mode still holds up well after all this time, and gives a great instant action that is fairer than battlefield's recent additions

Doesn't need to add "hero's" to make us stick to a class. Doesn't try to be something its not.

Its the perfect example of what Players want.

Gameplay > Graphics

Bravo to the Dev's for being honest and giving a damn. They deserve every cent

Yes the game feels good to play and has alot of content to do.

However the grind with 42 hours in currently, feels too much. I play casually with friends.

I understand we are in a time now where we can really only play 1 game to keep up with them. However this game doesn't see that as a problem.

Yes, everything in the game can be "earned" through just playing But the grind to get a few armors and enough premium to "Earn" the premium passes seems like too much.

There is only so much time in the day, And only so much time we have left in our lives. If I happen to grind a game for fun that's on me

If the game makes me grind to even get "variety" in the game with different weapons and armors and also the Sample system that takes too much effort than what its worth to upgrade an entire ship. Its not worth it

I want to have the revolver, but I don't want to have to pay for it due to not being able to grind another 20 hrs to "earn" it.

Sure its alot more "Fair" than other Studio's battle passes, And I like arrowhead as a developer they've earned their stripes since Magicka.

But I rather just buy my game and have it ready for me to have fun. I'm tired of being told by every modern game to "earn" my fun.

Update: My original review was made prior to sony doing what sony does. negative review stands.

Day 1 DLC i never enjoyed but i learned to choke it down due to the industry, however an unavoidable battle pass that doesnt earn its value is even worse

what does my 70 dollars even mean at this point if im going to be upsell'd to everytime i boot the game now

I want to get better at the game because its THE fighting game, however I cant help but be disapointed in how it chooses to treat its player with profit profit profit profit in mind, before we truly even have a good balance in the gameplay itself

I play tekken because I want to be good at fighting games. not to pay for the new Homelander Skin

update: Also something I want to make clear, You are never rewarding for defending properly. or parrying anymore

If you defend attacks you feel stupid and I saw a comment about someone having trouble with ranked.

and someone else responded

"You lost because you chose the extremely risky move of STANDING BLOCK"

It put everything into perspective brilliantly. Sorry Tekken but this is it

An engaging gameplay loop, that is both casual and gameifies making highlights yourself in-game

Having that be the main loop and seeing if you get enough monster footage and if its funny enough for your friends is a golden idea

Alot of times you see your friends "Act" for the camera for the sake of the video. a game everyone with a friend group should try playing. Even more than Phasmo

I enjoyed the HOOK of this game more than the base game

Having Alan himself fight the darkness as both a passenger for us controlling him and himself directly fighting the darkness/scratch and really infusing the "writer" nature of Alan into the story as him fully realized and alot more confident, even cracking jokes when hes killing the taken now had me enjoy this moment to moment alot more

This game took what I think a great turn for Alan's character and not only mistifies him to a greater battle

but also makes him a much funner protagonist to play and see him grow. Bravo

Game that focuses on story and delivers in gameplay.

If you're a fan of books or writing in general its pretty much a MUST-PLAY. Meta-Narrative and about storytelling in general

Slow story but it earns when it turns spectacular and keeps everyone still grounded and knowing what they really are doing

If im being honest, I just played mostly to see where the story went and having alan wake 2 out now, pretty much leaves us anticipating where things end up. I was a little too late for this all

But again it is a must-play even with all that said. And near the end-game having companions was cool
