RTWP? Never heard of her. Amazing CRPG all around, the equal of Kingmaker.

It's basically a very strong single player version of something like WARNO. I don't know if I'll play it a second time but with the base game + DLC i've spent 40hrs just playing the single player operations. Excellent game all in all.

If you're a constant player of open world games this probably wont' break any new ground for you but as someone who rarely plays them this is a well executed game that uses it's setting very very well.

Its got rough edges and the loot system needs work but the gameplay, atmosphere and difficulty is great.

Campaign is great, well worth getting on sale

The best CRPG in recent memory, closer to a table top experience than DOS2 or POE1/2 as it directly maps the Pathfinder rules in a similar way Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Knights. Writing is good, it's tone is more in keeping with Tyranny than something like DOS. The writing is less silly than Baldur's Gate but it's not overly serious like Pillars of Eternity could be. I've fully enjoyed the first 3 chapters and can recommend it to anyone who enjoys CRPGs with a heavy tabletop influence.

It's great, Rising Squall takes DCS and sands down the sim edges into a very fun game. This is not the only way to play DCS, it's not the best way to play DCS but it's a GREAT way to play DCS. If you're new to the Hornet this would give attiquate training wheels to learn a little about a lot of things, if you're a serious Hornet simmer already then this is like an awesome instant action mission pack. This is about as far from Raven One as you can get and we're frankly lucky we can both experiences on a platform like DCS.

Just turn off warchat when you first start the game and it'll be a much better experience.

The gold standard of DCS campaigns, if you want a realistic experience that is going to challenge your knowledge of the F-18 and teach you a few new things along the way this is a must buy. Baltic has put in a seriously impressive amount of work and the VO, missions briefs and other material is extremely high quality.

THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL you need to know how to fly the F-18 pretty well to play this campaign. That includes being comfortable in carrier landings night or day, understanding navigation, the targeting pod, air to air radar, air to air intercepts (including calls from bullseye), close air support (including 9 lines) and a wide variety of weapons from JDAMs, AGM-64s, and FFAR to your gun, AIM-120s and AIM-9s
