It's Counter-strike. You'll run it well on any computer made in the last 25 years, you can find servers playing any game mode you feel like, and you don't have to deal with loot boxes. What are you going to have to deal with when trying to play it in the present? Most of the people you play with are going to be Hispanic or Russian, the servers are going to be modded to feature music, strange skins, parachutes and other weird ♥♥♥♥. Every server is its own community in a way, which also means that if you piss off the wrong person you'll probably end up banned.

No one makes melee combat more satisfying than Fatshark, and now they've applied their magic touch to ranged combat. It's up to you to learn when is best to melee and when is best to swap to your ranged.

Teamwork is just as important as ever, and if you come from a background in Vermintide then the combat mechanics will all feel very familiar. Just be ready to get grouped with people who are new to these concepts and try to be patient with them.

No game does melee weapon combat better than Vermintide 2. No game does team-based PvE combat better than Vermintide 2. The amount of depth you realize this game has even after you've put a couple hundred hours into it, and the amount of replayability it has because of how many ways there are to play it, makes it unmatched.

Like most great games, it's easy to learn and extremely difficult to master. There will never be a time in the future when this game is out of date either, since it's replayability is based entirely around how many songs you can throw at it and how high a score you can possibly achieve for those songs.

Played since beta and haven't stopped since. It's the game you can always come back to no matter how long it's been and it'll always feel great. One of the best arena FPS of all time.

What's there to say? It's one of the best RPGs of all time. The characters you connect with, the quests you do, the world you inhabit, and the customization that makes subsequent playthroughs different. You could pour so much time into just playing through the main game before you realize there's multiple DLCs that have so much to do they could be their own stand-alone games.

Some of the best fun I've ever had playing a video game. Infinite replayability, so much variety in how you could play through based on the items you get and the character you're playing as. It's the type of game that once you master, you just wanna blast your favorite music and lose yourself in the gameplay. And all of this is before you start playing the game with friends which opens it up to even more fun.

Cannot recommend this enough. There's something for everyone no matter how casual or hardcore you are.

If you love Command & Conquer, then you should probably go no further than this game. It's the last in all the series of games that has the heart and soul of the originals. Great variety from the different factions, fun gameplay, looks great (even as I play in 2018), and the campy over the top video cutscenes are classics.
