I think that the most important part of not only Before the Storm, but Life is Strange as a whole, is not what we are shown, but rather what we are not. The game shows us Chloe, Max and Rachel's lives, and this is what we are made to care about. But it hints that despite the awful things that happen to these three people, the same and worse is happening to so many others. Take a moment to think about all that you aren't shown, and you begin to truly appreciate what the people working on this game are doing. 100% recommend this and the first game.

Just looking through the reviews other people have written, I can tell a lot of people are frustrated with how the game ends, and the lack of influence your previous decisions have on said end. I'm not going to tell you that what these people are saying isn't true, because it is. I'm going to tell you, however, to look past this. Sure, the game advertises itself as one where your choices affect the final outcome of the game, but if that was all this game was about, it'd be a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. This game isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for a strong story and characters, accompanied by simple but fun gameplay, you've come to the right place.
