Mosaique Neko Waifus 2 is sequel to previous game with a bit different title which is Hentai Mosaique Neko Waifus. I thought that previous one was already elaborate enough when it comes to hentai puzzle games but this one suprised me even more than the previous one.

Live2D animations quality is unreal for the game of this price and definitely went up since the last game. The models feel less still and have a lot more movement to them. Most of the time it looks really cool although in a few instances it felt forced and completely unrealistic.

There's yuri (girl on girl) action involved, which for me is a really nice addition. My favourite girl Sayouri also came back, although her nature is totally different. I don't know why but now she feels really bland.

There are also a few new features and quality of life improvements compared to the prequel.

First of all I'd like to mention reworked skill tree, although still too simple for my taste it's a step in good direction. It really feels like you have some sort of choice. Another aspect of the game that got expanded on is visual novel part. Now you, as the protagonist of the game, make short conversations with girls after completing puzzle. This connects to another and brand new aspect of the game - items system. Depending on your choice of words during the conversation you receive different item. These items influence mostly your skills, but there are a few which influence your XP gain from solving. This is probably the coolest feature of this new game.

There's also one more improvement which many people might pass by but in my opinion impacts the gameplay heavily - effects from skills are now way less annoying and don't interrupt with the gameplay that much. They disappear way quicker, while still being pretty to look at.

However, there are also a few cons which I'd like to point out. First of all, skills are still unbalanced and bring down my enjoyment of the game. In the first game it was easy to gain a lot of skill points. Now it's even easier thanks to the items that bring up level of your skills. Close to the beginning of the game I felt like the puzzles were almost solving by themselves.

Ultrawide monitor support is still not perfect. Tutorial at the beginning at the game scales wrong, but this time game is at least playable and fits the 21:9 aspect ratio well. Another thing that is broken is bug reporting tool. I couldn't report any bugs even when trying on 3 separate networks. If you don't want for people to report bugs anymore at least remove this feature, it just makes you look unprofessional.

Play time to 100% completion for me was 1 hour and 29 minutes according to the in game timer.

I can't recommend this game enough, especially when it's on sale. While it definitely has it's fair share of problems it's still probably most elaborate and fun to play game of this genre on the market.

Hentai Mosaique Neko Waifus is probably one of the best hentai puzzle games on the market and shows how simple concept can be elevated to another level, although not without a few flaws.

Let's state the most important thing first: art is absolutely stunning and animations are (mostly) really nice. I didn't pay that much attention to dialogs but they're supposed to funny side gig, not some world building and philosophical quotes.

Music is simple but engaging. It's also looping really well, at least well enough that I didn't put any of my ownmusic over the game.

In the opening paragraph I talked about improving the already existing genre and I still stand by it. Features such as dividing whole puzzle into flippable 2-4 pieces is nice improvement and really broke my brain at first. Totally didn't expect it. There are also skills as a whole and skill tree, that's the part I have most issues with. The game is too generous with skill points. Nearing the end of the game literally half of the puzzle was being solved by automatic skills alone and I didn't use at least 20 of SP just because I didn't want for it to get easier than that. It felt like I almost didn't do anything. Linear skill tree is boring and feels really scripted. I'd prefer if it was grid-based with different amount of skill points required to upgrade certain skills (ex. car upgrades in Forza Horizon 4/5).

Ultrawide screen support is broken, game scales improperly and cuts off parts from top and bottom of the screen. Manually changing resolution to 1920x1080 fixed the issue.

Play time to 100% completion for me was 2 hours and 9 minutes according to the in game timer.

Would I buy it again? HELL YES! Despite flaws with skill system the game was really comfy and it's worth it for the pictures alone.
