I bought this game as I was a huge fan of Escape from Horrorland as a kid... and I have to say this game doesn't even come close to that magical game. The sound quality, the writing, the characters and the voice acting... Even if it was a little dorky (but hey the 90s were full of that!)

Well it was good for the nostalgia but it definitely didn't have much to it.
I would have enjoyed this more if it was a point and click, animated adventure, with more depth to the world, more ambience and mood with the music, and if the characters had voice actors to act it out.

If you do want to go down nostalgia road I would recommend waiting for it to be on sale. Beware though, the ending is definitely not as awesome as a Goosebumps books' ending.

Life is Strange is unlike any other game I have come across. It has been more of an experience and a journey than an actual game. The only game I can think of that is similar to this is the Telltale Walking Dead game, in that your choices actually make a difference, and you are left reeling later with the decisions you have made.

But Life Is Strange, is different. It goes beyond this type of a game into something... else. You follow the game as Max Caulfield, who transferred back to Arcadia Bay to pursue her love of photography at their prestigious college. She wakes up in her classroom after a horrifying dream of a tornado descending on Arcadia Bay. Max escapes to the bathroom to freshen herself and encounters her old friend Chloe, as she is shot by the rich and unstable Nathan Prescott - the heir of the family who owns the school. Except Max, reaching to shout out, sees time slowly rewind and saves Chloe.

Max discovers she has the power to "undo" or rewind small moments in time. Eventually fate bring Max and Chloe together. They stumble along, learning from their mistakes, as they try to find out where the missing girl, Rachel Amber has gone and what has happened to her. Max soon finds herself using her powers more, as a means to find more information, to tweak and change time as it unfolds, and to help keep others (inncluding herself) from danger. This makes YOU the person along for this ride, to really feel like you change events and moments as they happen, as you wish them to.

Or if you are like me, you choose to say and do absolutely everything, exploring each and every single outcome, and then see how this effects each person and scenario. Find out my answers and assess what I think SHOULD happen - hopefully making a difference. For me, this game was exactly what happened when I read the Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid. I grew with Max, I came close to people (Warren, you are such a sweetie) and grieved over my choices.

So, what can I say? It has been moments since this game has ended and I'm a wreck! This beautifully amazing, wonderful game has left it's mark on me. It has been a phenomonal ride, my emotions have run wild and I am left bewildered at each and every moment that has been imprinted on the forefront of my mind. And I loved every minute of it.

One of the most stunningly beautiful and challenging side scrollers I have played in a long time. Not only is it a formidable and wonderful tribute to older platform games, the story is heartrendingly beautiful, accompanied by quite charming and soulful music, which adds so much more to this incredible experience.

It has been one of the most delifghtful and amazing games where, every step of the way, I have felt like I have truly experienced and progressed almost every aspect this games has to offer. While the game can be a bit of a trial at times, especially through the chase scenes, but it really feels worth it in the end. I definitely recommend this game as no matter what type of gamer you are, you are bound to fall in love with this game. 10/10

Has to be one of the best games I have ever played! It is far superior to it's predecessors, it makes the others look like junk! The gameplay is much more fun, and the two main charactes, Booker De Witt and Elizabeth talk to each other continously throughout the game, keeping you interested and guessing as you go along. You have the same old chemicals that make you really powerful, and I really recommend investing in them more than the guns, but wait til you get a few first as your entire game play changes depending on what is happening. That being said the game play is completely customisable according to how YOU play. Secondly, you get gear. Shirts, pants and hats that have a wide range of awesome abilities and effects, and you will most likely change them along the way as well, but some combos can be really damn powerful in the end.

The best thing is that there are no huge cut scenes, most of them happen while you are moving around, so it feels more involved than a simple cut scene playable movie. Then there is the story. Anyone who thought Bioshock was brilliant, well this just tramples it. It would be best if you had played bioshock 1, but it is not a real continuation. It is a stand alone, and it is awesome because of that. This game has the best story that I have seen in any game for years. A little complex, amazing characters and there are so many twists and turns... and bloody mind bogglingly awesome!

Just go play this game already!

This an extremely fun and challenging game to play. There is a voice over which acts as a narrative detailing every move or mistake that "the kid" makes. As you progress through the terrain you can soon change the difficulty to make the game even harder. You can unlock weapons as you go through the game and earn more points as you go through each level to do customise your weapons. It is quite simple and yet quite challneging and compelling. A lot of fun for a small game and very much worth its price, even more so when it is on sale!

This is a really cute, enjoyable tower defense game where you need to defend the crystal from the enemies, and each character has a different special ability that contributes to the game. Mostly Attack, Defense and Support classes. Really recommend getting for such a small price!!

Magicka is a funky little single player or co-op game full of magic, fun and adventure... and really bad Polish. It has Adventure mode where you begin as a wizard in training where you graduate and venture out into the big wide world to fight enemies and save the day. You can also play Challenge which is fighting of hoards of enemies to survive each round, and Versus where you can duel each other, in teams or free for all.
One of the fun parts to this game is it has loads of really cool little references to geeky or silly things such as the magic chest with legs that you attack to get get items from in Challenge/Versus is from Discworld.

While the adventure mode is quite short, multiplayer makes up for it with the endless chaos and the potential to accidentally blow up your friend, or blast them off a cliff. Even better when you purposefully kill your friend to steal their special item!! it is definitely a fun little game for it's price!

Monday Night Combat is a really fun, intersting and challenging game. It is a lot like TF2 with the characters, though the characters have different skills that can be upgraded by attacking more players and earning money from kills. You have a different variety of turrets, and you have bots that aid you in attacking the other side.

It requires team work and skill. Depending on who you have on the arena and who you have on your team, you need to strategise which best tactic to go about attacking the other side. Do you defend more and build turrets, or do you upgrade as fast as you can and attack the enemy base straight away.

It is a fun game that is still a bit of a work in progress, but there is certainly more involved, has a few fun maps and the characters and their different skills, make it really really enjoyable to play. Would like to see more maps and different games in the future, but for now it is a lot of fun for such a cheap game!
