This little engine had potential and it was very easy to use. But here is the thing, developers totally abandoned it. Instead of delivering what they promised on an early access tittle, they are releasing PAID DLCs with fixes and features that were already promised as part of the main software.
They recently released an essential tool for localizing your game in multiple languages and the little joke costs as much as nearly half the price of the software. Are you kidding me?
I'll downvote this until they go back and release all of what they promised as early access tittle without being paid DLCs.

Interesting game, entertaining, but extremely short and limited.
The only reason I recommend this game is because I got it for cheap as a part of a bundle. I only recommend it on sale for no more than 2 or 3 USD/EUR.
The game mechanics are interesting, you assemble and fix different objects. Doing it is entertaining and relaxing but each object lasts about 5 minutes. Most of the game time goes into listening to the little story.
Story wise isn't bad, but isn't either a deep or emotional enough story. It's quite simple and basic. For a game where the main subject is the narrative due game mechanics, this one is very lacking.

I think is a little "game" or experience that isn't any bad but that could have been way better if it actually had way more content other than repairing the handful of objects to follow the main story. A mode where you could have your own story and receive orders to repair all sort of objects would have been way better.

Overall I recommend it solely because it can be quite cheap while on sale or as a part of a bundle. An interesting and relaxing game shadowed by it's lack of content and poor story. Worth mentioning the great Spanish voice acting though! Not many games comes translated and dubbed to Spanish let alone with so professional and known voice actors. That was really appreciated.

So, I am not sure how to start this review.
I bought this game because I had read somewhere comments about different games that kind of "changes" your life in some way. This one was one of them so I decided to give it a try.

First, as a game, I can say that at first I had some feeling that I wouldn't like it. I did the tutorial and was kind of boring so I though it would be one of those spaces sim and little else. But the more you play, the more it hooks you. It's extremely well done and it invites you to keep exploring more and more. If you enjoy exploring in games in search of secrets and hidden stuff, this is your game because it's pretty much about it. It's hard to get bored unless you get stuck in some part. Regardless of how much you get stuck, don't ever look for a guide. Get patience and keep going, revisit places, explore deeper, and read everything that you find because the solution is always there.

Now, as a "life changer" experience, the game is definitely a really awesome experience, probably more than a simple game, but not a life changer. Needless to say, that does not means that the game let me down at all. The whole story and how you little by little discover it, how you solve every mystery, how you put everything together on your own, it's masterfully crafted to make one of the best experiences that you can get playing a game of this kind. The whole subject and story it's quite deep and I really invite everyone to give it a try, even if you feel at first that it's a quite complex or boring subject, it won't let you down.

It's really great that there are still developers that take the care and effort to create something unique that makes players feel something beyond pushing buttons. Definitely one of my favourite games as experience. This game made me feel so little yet so big at different times. I really hope that there is a second part someday, in a near future, or maybe in the next cycle :P

Good game but....

The game it's good, but it's not comparable to RiME.
The story it's heartwarming and the levels design are good enough. Visual style it's appealing while technically not so up to date, which doesn't actually worsen the quality of the game. Completing the full game finding every object takes some time which it's actually nice and accounts for about 10 hours.

Sound wise, the music it's pretty awesome, just on par with RiME even though the later had some more memorable themes.

The downside of this game it's the game mechanics itself. They aren't bad, but they are very repetitive. You haven't much to do but hiding over and over. I appreciate some stealth levels but in this game it's all you get. I would have preferred if the game mechanics changes a bit from level to level. There is also another thing that quite annoys me, and that's the extremely easy difficulty level. While not every game has to be a Dark Souls type, it's frustrating when you reach one of the few simple puzzles and suddenly you get the protagonist talking telling you exactly what the "puzzle" it's about. Puzzles are already extremely simple to have those kind of hints right when reaching one. I preferred RiME kind of puzzles and game mechanics by far.

Obviously, GYLT and RiME are not the same game, but they do come from the same studio and this one feels like a step back in terms of quality.

The game it's still good enough to put some time on it so I definitely recommend it but try to get it on sale. Because, even though the game it's not expensive, for the short life spam that it offers and the repetitive game mechanics, I feel it's worth a bit less than it's normal price.

Loved it and ended playing more time than necessary trying to find as much secret as possible. Some are pretty hard to get, and some others are nearly impossible.
Pretty good game with a good difficulty against boss' battles. It has a great deep and dark story behind all those cute graphics. I think it's a really great game specially if we consider that has been made using RPG Maker.
Can't wait for a continuation ;P

The game it's pretty entertaining and I really loved that there is a full story behind.
The artistic side it's pretty cute and the music very relaxing. However, the game it's extremely short. It doesn't feels like a game, it feels like a demo. I think it's quite expensive even getting it on sale for such short amount of gameplay. It wouldn't have hurt to add some more extra levels but basically there is just a handful of them, and the first ones are quite short. If I had to rate this game it would be a 5/10 due the short time to finish but I am voting it positive because I found quite smart the way that it tells a whole store without a single word.

Early Access Review
One has to be greedy and not too smart to wanting to monetise a software through a subscription mode. Which is even worse it's that, several of the models in the library, are made for free usage and does not allows any commercial usage yet they put all them behind a virtual coin wall which you have to earn buying them with real money. I think I will stick to VSeeFace which has a pretty good and accurate tracking and it's completely free.

Probably one of the best Sonic games in 3D so far. Sonic Force it's pretty close but this one still the king. Sonic Hero was also pretty good but it had an horrible control and didn't quite aged that well.

There are so many bad things about this game... and some others not so bad...
First, I want to say that I has been supporting Digital Happiness since they made that indiegogo for the first whole game. The first game has it's flaws but you could forget it's limitations after focusing on the game play.

DreadOut 2 it's a total different thing.
First it's an extremely buggy and disastrous game:

- You can get easily stuck in some places, specially between enemies.
- When the game needs to play a video, it often just gives you a black screen with sound.
- Some events that should happen only once can be triggered again for no reason.
- "Bosses" always consist on an enemy without any kind of mechanic that simply wanders around you for later on fly directly to you at the speed of light and damage or kill you. This wouldn't be that bad if weren't because you can't even see them. They go through walls for no reason which makes it impossible for you to see them or from where they are coming. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that tells you where it's supposed to be. Your phone just goes glitchy when the ghost it's just attacking you which makes it too late to do anything. You have to shoot pics around you and expect to win out of luck. Worst boss mechanics ever!!

There is also some horrible bad decisions regarding technical aspects.
Who though that displaying lower LODs models without any kind of post-processing when you use the phone was a good idea? It looks horrible. You guys could have used a simple render camera, instead, when you look through the phone you see a whole different world without proper ambient occlusion, no reflections or specular and a level of detail that reminds a PS1.
- For god sake, disable that sharpening filter that it's processing the whole image!!
- Overuse of alpha test dithering on every single transparency and reflection. Alpha dithering it's nice for certain stuff, just NOT for everything. Keep in mind that it's an alpha mode that should be coupled with a proper anti-aliasing filter to smooth the checkerboard effect. The sharpening filter on top of it just makes it worse.
- We all love reflections but you don't need to use screen space reflections on every single surface. There is something called probe reflections for a reason, use them. Otherwise you end with a lot of distorted reflections and surfaces that once you are at certain distance they are plain grey or only reflects the character. Mix probe reflections with SSR ones.
- I understand the costs of creating assets for games, I am 3D artist and game developer myself but was it that hard to create different base models for the characters? They all have the same face... create a couple of variations at least.
- I feel like Unreal Engine 4 it's kinda too big for you guys. You should master first how PBR works before trying to attempt a game. UE4 is not the old Unity, you can't just slap normals and specular maps and expect it to work. Most surfaces looks completely plain. Not to mention how some things have very detailed textures yet others are of extreme low resolution.
- Even tho the games doesn't look that great, it still performs quite bad. Not sure how you managed to use some assets of extreme low quality and low res textures yet the game stutter and get fps drops on a 2080Ti lol. You guys really need to optimize this!!

I can't really believe that going from Unity to UE4, an engine where it's very hard to make a game look bad, you made a so bad game. You should have more funds now seeing you got comics and even a whole movie not to mention the sales of the first one. Yet this one feels way more "indie" and unpolished than the first one. But above all, fix these horrible game mechanics. A boss that simply attacks you out of nowhere without any sign of from where it may come makes absolutely no sense and it's pretty unfair for the player. No game should have mechanics that can't be beaten with ability on the first encounter.

Another thing that has been a huge letdown has been the localization. The first game came with 10 languages, Keepers of The Dark with only two and now this one with a single language. You are going down rather than keeping up? It's now the money of non-English speakers less important or less valuable??

I am not asking for a refund because the game was quite cheap but it totally deserves to be refunded because I know that it's very unlikely that any of these stuff gets ever fixed or changed.
