They advertised the game with PvE content that they eventually just "resigned" from adding, making up some excuse for not doing it, after which... they added PvE missions that are not only like $15 dollars each, but they are also time limited, after which you can't play them? Just WHAAAAAT?????

I paid for original OW1, which was not working properly on my AMD Radeon card because of how the game was coded (many people had this problem), even though I could play several years newer FPS games like Quake Champions with no problems. Then, shortly after I bought better PC, they... SCRAPPED, DELETED, GOT RID OF Overwatch 1 completely, replacing it with OW2 while saying that they are "re-defining what the sequel of the game means", just how insolent and audacious Blizzard is?

Not even saying that the game is a DOWNGRADE from original OW1 that I paid for, plus there are several things that I was supposed to get as a person that was a former owner of OW1 and logged in within specified time limit... and I didn't got them. They were locked behind the Battlepass and required much of grinding, even though I should be able to access them faster.

Aside of me feeling robbed of my money that I paid for OW1 and got nothing in exchange, there were many other "untrue" things that the game was advertised with and never happened, but I don't want to waste your time for something that you can easily google for or watch on youtube. So disappointing, especially that the game have almost a year now and the things not only didn't improved too much, but some of the aspects of it got even worse...

Don't waste your time and money here, my honest opinion. Go play something else.

EDIT: After last two patches I change my review to positive!
Game is getting better and now it's much more balanced. I can't wait for more!

Devs really listened to the feedback and delivered, fixing many things and balancing game out the way that it's more friendly for everyone, I am very positive to see what comes next! :]

I can't recommend the game in the current state, for a current price, especially after last patch (I play BETA, but I think that both converged with this patch).
This game costs ~75% of what I just paid for Vampire Survivors with both DLCs, but the difference in the amount of content and possible builds is ENORMOUS.
I get that it's Early Access, but after so much of feedback from the players, the last live patch feels like DEVs are kinda detached or not sure what they're doing. New version feels like a literal downgrade for the game, killing much of fun while introducing many new bugs (enemies spawning on top of you, bullets freezing and hanging in the air, game doesn't even start for multiple people etc.)

But most importantly, with new unbalancing patch and unnecessary nerfs, there is even less incentive to try out different builds, which for the game with such low amount of content is just straight bad :-(

Last forum response from DEVs to some complains that I saw was suggesting that someone in their discord got almost lvl 130 blah, blah, blah, with some broken OP build to munchkin the game, even though majority of people that just want to enjoy it can't even reach lvl 100. Is the game kept being crafted for that 1%-5% of people that are out there for only hardcore experience? Because even if it's playable for me, it starts pushing away new players, especially with unreasonable bump in difficulty from the last patch.

I would advice to observe the game, hopefully things will get better and I will be able to change this review into a positive one! <3

Actually have more hours than 300h shown on profile, just not counted by Steam/offline, and one could easily play even multiple times that.
IMO the best and most fun to play out of Civilization games so far.
It does have some bugs and problems, glitches, rounding/display issues, funky mechanics, WEAK AI, etc. etc... but at the end of the day, most of these are not really gamebreaking and it's still very fun to play, ESPECIALLY with other people :-)

I recommend you to look for some sales for Complete edition with it, grab the game with all DLCs at once and get ready for a many, many days of fun, dencouncement, enjoyment, dencounciation, annoyance, denouncement and gameplay....
...did I already mentioned that you will get happily DENOUNCED by your friends, foes and other random nations almost every single game? Yes? No? Whatever! You will quickly learn the tricks and tactics that will let you get through whatever happens ;-)

(Review is Work In Progress, I will finish it after making pancakes... and maybe after enjoying some Judgement. What else to do here in the abyss, after all...)
