A must-play for any roguelite or hack-and-slash fans. Everything about the first Risk of Rain, perfected and in 3D - a transition which works better than it has any right to. The simplicity of the core gameplay loop is what makes it special - this game will kick you to the curb over and over, but when you realize you're slowly getting faster and faster runs and discovering new favourite items every time, you'll always have a motivation to keep playing. The fun and flavourful item unlocks and a ton of wildly different characters to master will keep you playing for a long time, even if you aren't the type of person to grind at something just to improve.
