Super fun and creative cute-em-up. Features a super-easy mode with no enemy bullets, normal mode, and hard mode. Uncomplicated mechanics and a simple (yet fun) harpoon gimmick make this a great title to play in short bursts.

This is it. This is the game that will get you into shooters.

While Frogun looked like Crash Bandicoot meets Umihara Kawase, it just lacked the depth and just ended up feeling boring and tedious.

I spent most of my game time thinking "When will I get more abilities?" The "Frogun" grappling hook isn't anywhere near as fun or interesting to use as Kawase's lure, and it definitely isn't enough to carry this game. The Frogun lets you grapple and travel to nearby walls, and also attack enemies/grab items. Very similar to the hookshot from Ocarina of Time. However, in practice, it only travels in a horizontal straight line and I wasn't able to use it in any kind of creative or interesting ways. Also, lots of tricky platforming portions rely on making many grappling hook shots in quick succession, and this neither feels fun or challenging, just tedious and frustrating when you fail.

This game is a great start, with colorful artwork and fun characters... but the gameplay falls completely flat, and I found myself losing interest as soon as the novelty of the graphics wore off.

Terrific, beginner-friendly shooter! Encourages very active play, graze mechanic is super fun!
