This is the first horror game my wife and I completed together start to finish.
She sat next to me, often took control in the "not-so-scary" parts, and solved some puzzles my dull head couldn't wrap around. And yes, her company made the diabolical and visceral parts of the game all the more tolerable in our long sessions together.

Bloober Team nailed this game. From the unsettling and dreadful atmosphere of Silent Hill to the well-crafted cinematic cutscenes oozing emotions and horror, the pacing of the levels and sound design were excellent. We probably won't forget the sheer terror of the Toluca Prison for a long time. God, that place makes you feel uncomfortable in the right ways.

I feel lucky to have experienced the tragic story of James and Mary together with my partner. And as another James playing the game, this story was even more personal!
Go tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them and whichever Silent Hill you're fighting in, we hope you find what you're searching for :-)

A quality game that succeeds in delivering a compelling story. As for gameplay, the repetition of the enemies gets annoying and the control for driving/movement is wonky. However, the beautiful, ambient soundtrack, interesting narrative and memorable environment design presents an enjoyable experience.
