Contains slight gameplay spoilers. They are tagged appropriately, but should not reveal too much of the content present in Is the order a DLC?.

This DLC contains 2 side chapters: Fairy Attacks! and Finding Memories, which are unlocked after completion of the Post Game. They're not concurrent, meaning that you'll have to complete Fairy Attacks! before you can attempt Finding Memories. If you thought having a story after beating the main story was a bit much, get ready for a story that takes place after completing another story which is unlocked after another story which is opened after beating the main story. Post-Post-Post Game content!

Story
If you get this DLC expecting J-RPG levels of story, remember that the base game isn't known for that -- this game is driven by gameplay, not story. However, the second side chapter does provide backstory of the events of the main game.

Levels
Like the areas featured in the Post Game, platforming is not for the faint of heart.

Fairy Attacks!
  • This chapter has you explore above Rabi Ribi Ravine. Areas feature wind, which will constantly blow you in a direction. Enemies are fair for Rabi Ribi standards. Which to say, they're tough. Some platforming sections where falling resets the room proved to be slightly infuriating.
Finding Memories
  • This chapter has you explore another section of the Hall of Memories. The design provides unique challenges, if a bit long, but I found myself slightly frusturated by the enemy behavior, especially those that require exploiting them to progress. All enemies do not give enough EN to restore lost HP, and there is one section where the enemies just have so much HP that it just took an extremely long time to progress. It did not help that there is a checkpoint prior to this--meaning that dying a little ways in rooms afterword requires destroying those beefy enemies again. In addition, this is one particular enemy placement where its attack pattern barely gives an opening for progression -- and that particular enemy cannot be killed.

Bosses
(contains slight gameplay spoilers)
The bosses were enjoyable, particularily the finale bosses that appear in both chapters.
The attack patterns are indeed avoidable, although they can be tough. You will have to use all of your movement options that are available to you.

Fairy Attacks!
  • Midbosses: If you enjoyed the Halloween DLC bosses, you'll enjoy similar levels of difficulty.
  • Finale: Enjoyed the patterns on display. It is interesting to see how the arena in this finale is incorporated -- a concept similar to what was implemented was mentioned in one of the premade custom maps available for playing. There are portions of the fight where control was significiantly different, making some patterns a little harder than usual to avoid.
Finding Memories
  • Midbosses: The midbosses works for what they are. One midboss in particular left very little openings for one pattern.
  • Finale: Patterns are very appropriate for who it is. Multiple phases, and each provides for very unique and appropriate patterns. There is also a bit of a balancing act incorporated, which does encourage the player to switch up how they fight the boss.

Music
All of the music is good, as usual. I personally enjoyed the Finding Memories finale boss song.
I found the Finding Memories area background music slightly repetivive, due to how much time is spent in the areas where the song plays.
Strangely, for some music do not have a title labelled in-game. Perhaps those memories for putting in the song names were lost? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Items
(contains slight gameplay spoilers)
This DLC adds new items. Some of them are little bit useless as the chapters take place in Post-Post Game, but they can still be useful.
One particular item causes you to automatically use food when you would have died, which might be a small frusturation especially against a boss that heals themself, but then again, not dying is always better than dying.
One item can be very destructive in that it can one-shot some bosses, but it is fair in that you do take some self-damage, so you cannot obtain the "Dodge Master" achievements for those bosses.
Some items and easter eggs may give you only one chance to obtain them. Otherwise it may require defeating the Post Game final boss to reset chapter events so that you may obtain them again.

Compatibility with other DLC
Music DLC contains the new tracks features in Is the order a DLC?. I couldn't find the track that plays during the midbosses of Finding Memories, however.
Artbook DLC contains portraits for those used in Is the order a DLC?. Playable music while viewing the Artbook does not include the music tracks.

This DLC took me approximately 5 hours on Hard to complete for a first time playthrough. I did not attempt to find all of the items that were available, so you can expect more hours that'll be spent if you're a completionist.
I enjoyed the content, but there's going to be some who won't enjoy it as much. However, I would still recommend this DLC for the hardcore and dedicated fans of the base game.

This game, I've played for a while.

This is an excellent game.

It, while once compared with Minecraft, is far different in experience. This game is much more combat and exploration oriented, with many different types of armor and many different weapons. However, it doesn't deter from creativity as well, as there are many different resources to use. Every block is different, and one can change the texture of any individual block via paint.

While the experience is enjoyable no matter how many times anyone plays it, the game will most likely be confusing to newcomers, as there is little to no tutorial at all. Said newcomers is probable to have to learn how to play via experimenting or by using Terraria's official wiki[www.terraria.gamepedia.com]. Once such people learn the ropes, the game can be very fun. However, due to the lack of tutorial, it may be difficult to get to hardmode.

Hardmode, once a certain boss is defeated, will not only make the game harder, but will also allow you to obtain much more items not obtainable prehardmode, essentially doubling one's time in a world. It, as just mentioned, is hard, and will most likely increase the rate of death, and may be rage inducing, but the experience can still be enjoyable.

One problem of this game the massive reliance on random number generation at the end game. Many powerful items can only be obtained through minutes to hours of farming, as the items dropped have a extremely low drop rate, and thus can drop the experience immensely as time goes on with little progress. One can argue, however, that it helps extend the game play time.

Another problem is during special events such as the blood moon and raids, when there are many mobs everywhere, and may, essentially, spawnkill the player, who will always respawn at 100 health whenever killed by a non-player. This will provide immense frustration until the event ends.

The game is still very enjoyable, even with that one bit of negativity, and it is a game that I would recommend to other gamers who are interested in purchasing this game.

On a scale of 1 to 10 without decimals, I give this a 9/10.
