It is the same as old Risk of Rain, but just improved version of it. Tons of fun and many hours put into it.

Had couple of problems but switch from DX12 to DX11 in game.xml and got it running.

First few hours at least were quite fun.

Early Access Review
Game was fun at start, but it seems I got to point where the matchmaking is just dumb...
With one of the first multipurpose fighter I get into dogfight and get shot down by some bomber in 4-5 hits, my guns barely reach enemy it seems.
When I am chasing one of them I have to shoot like 20 sec to get defense aircraft down and currently the multipurpose aircraft is on max upgrades, doesn't seem to make any difference.
Those bombers I mentioned earlier seem to just fly faster than me as well so there is no way I could chase them and shoot them down either, they turn around in distance and just come and shoot me in couple of shots.
Either matchmaking is crap or game balance is off.
I am going to delete the game as it has been now 2-3 of days where I have tried to get at least 1 win of the day on 3 planes and given up after 3 tries with each plane due to issues mentioned earlier.
It would be fun if I felt that there might be at least some chance to get against the enemies.

This is a lot more difficult than last iterations of the game.

The new Trial mode I kind of like, it does not get any bonuses from the skill level or talisman, so it is same for every player, it is all about the skill to actualyl play the game not to have bunch of skill points from various achievemetns and level completions. So it is basically equalizing the trials to be the sae for each player. They are difficult. I did get through first area trials with some challenge, but now the second area it totally different story. Probably most of the trials have only handful of strategies to pass them and you have to do it correctly in order to pass them.

Tutorial side is a bit lacking and difficulty rampup maybe could be a bit smoother. It ramps up difficulty really fast.
So far I have noticed that on first playthrough of the level you should avoid enraging or calling waves early, it is jsut calling trouble for yourself.

I have not had any issues with the game and finally there is again one challengign game not like some of the games lately released for snowflakes that are so easy to beat that you don't have to try or can play while doing something else. This one needs your attention to be beatable.

So far I am happy with it. Got 3rd area done and so much more to come.

If you like really challenging tower defence then I would reccomend it.
If you are a snowflake that cannot beat anything putting up a challenge, then you will be most likely disappointed.

Edit: Dev decided to remove the stashes from trials. I have to give the thumbs down due to that. Catering to those who do not like the trials. I am not fan of Journal mission type, but it is still there and even more stashes in those ones. I preferred the old balance of stashes in every game type. After 40 hours of gameplay I find that the cange of removing stashes from trials is something that makes me not to reccommend it any more.

Really fun game, love the storytelling. Unfortunately does not bring me the feeling I had with the original Dungeon Keeper

Game has so much activities to do, but things need better tutorials and more linking between parts of content.

That Pricetag... well not suggesting this game for anyone. I won't ask for refund, but it is waay too boring to play after few hours... Too much of the same.

Performance wise, for me there was no issue with AMD card, but I am using the beta drivers and on 290x it seems to run quite well on Very High details and most of options turned on. FPS is 50-60ish.

The frequent logging in is annoying.

Challenges are annoying because some little mistake or handling issue can ruin it all and then you have to restart and try aain to get max gears... Feels like too much burden to get those basic gear mods even.

Minimap would be really helpful... I've been searching those last transformers for many times... The big map shows the general location, but opening it and closing it is tedious.

Lack of multiplayer, in JC2, they modded in the multiplayer and it was ton of fun to play over there. I was expecting to have at least some level of co-op in it, like in saints row or so.

From progress side, I didn't find that much to unlock in there, more like a few things only.

My Overall rating for this game is 2/10
