I absolutely adore horror / psych horror movies and TV shows. This game however, was the biggest disappointment ever. As someone who loves other Bandai Namco horror games, it sucks that this has to be down there in the puddle of terrible horror movies. Need to cleanse myself with some good ol' Kiyoshi Kurosawa after this. Do you know that one scene from The Midnight Club where Mike Flanagan disses every generic horror movie ever for using jump scares as a cheap tactic to scare people. There's this one scene (not spoiling anything) where one of the characters reads a note and says "Oh... this man seems to have had appendicitis and seems to have died of a heart attack... that's weird" YEAH SURE AS HELL FAM. CUZ THAT'S ME THROUGHOUT THE GAME. Please. If you're making a horror game, make Silent Hills, Outlast, Evil Within or Little Nightmares. Not this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The only thing that this game has going for it is re-playability value and good environment.

Great game but does get kinda repetitive!

Fairly good story but start is extreeeeemeellyyyy slow. New concept which is much appreciated. HELL YEA! I GOT LAID BICHES. TAKE THAT. MMPH.

This game just highlights how narrative mastery can drive a story line to a whole new dimension. Would strongly recommend yall to play this game. Please try to complete the game in a single sitting 'cause it would help to connect the dots better.

An amazing short 2 player co-op game!

Let's start with the pros to this game:

1) An excellent storyline and narrative. I've noticed a few people complaining about the ending which in my opinion was the best part of the entire story. It isn't the best I've seen, but is definitely great.
2) Fun gameplay. There's a lot of fun things to do in the game and a lotta minigames which jus makes the game so much more explorable.
3) Soundtrack. NO WORDS. Jus go listen to it on Spotify/YT.

The meh(s) of the game:
1) Dialogues. The dialogues weren't as punchy as you'd expect them to be in some parts of the story line.
2) Origin.

The bad:
1) Graphics were below average in my opinion. Facial expressions looked plasticy at times and character models for civilians were pretty bad.
2) The AI on enemies was very bad. They wouldn't move at times and the levels would just be so easy to ace.
3) Vehicular control was manageable at best.

Overall, a really good game to play with a buddy. Story lasts about 9 hours (+- 2 hours depending upon the amount of time you spend exploring) and is totally worth spending. Oh and also, I don't think it's worth spending the maximum price. It goes on sale at about -67% at times. I suggest getting it then like I did.

One of the best looking games of all time!

Amazing game but it's just too repetitive. This review might get A LOT OF HATE but it's just my opinion and opinions are subjective.

I like the concept of the game but the character development in the Borderlands Franchise is almost non-existent. I initially started off with 1 and I was anticipating a story to rise at some point in the game. But... It never did. BL2 however did improvise on the story department. However, the story could just be so much better. I personally would give up some of the gameplay elements for a better story. I don't think anyone in the Borderlands community would ever agree to this. Killing loaders, constructors, skags, stalkers, etc might be fun... But I jus got bored of it way too quickly. Every mission involved you killing a bunch of guys and saving someone or collecting something for someone or deliver some letters. I mean the devs could've invested more into cut scenes and they could've just let players live in the universe rather than asking them to go out there and kill a bunch of people. I would've loved to have just had the time to drive around the planet of Pandora without any enemies and just explore the land for what it has to offer.

But again, I'm a person who loves to chill while playing games without try harding too much (unless it's a competitive multiplayer game of sorts) and hence my opinion might be biased.

To give you a perspective, I totally loved Tales From The Borderlands. I loved the story and the character development and everything about it. I would LOVE to see a Borderlands game that merges the story elements from The Tales From The Borderlands and the gameplay of Borderlands 2.

Overall, it's an amazing game to play once. But I don't think I'll ever come back to it.

Words cannot explain how amazing this game is and how it has affected my perception towards not only Shooter games but towards the entire video game industry as a whole. This is a revolutionary game and I absolutely loved playing it. I'm super sad that I couldn't pay for this game. I got it for free on Humble Bundle. Given a choice I'd definitely buy the game for its full price just for the story. Trust me on this... It really is THAT GOOD. The mechanics aren't too great but I wouldn't say it is trash either. The weapon mechanics are best explained as a culmination of Gears of War and Call of Duty. It's truly amazing where games have come to... This game has proved that video games can be works of art as well.

Oh and btw I've been trying to get my friends to play this game but they either dont wanna spend all their money and time on this game or they don't game at all lmao... They do be missin out on a lot.
