game is pretty sweet. lots of fun playtime for money spent.

This company(Gameloft) participates in predatory monetization practices that get progressively worse over time. There are currently people seeking a class action lawsuit against Gameloft because of how awful the micro transactions in Speedstorm have become. Whether or not that lawsuit will be seen by any court is not clear at this time but considering the fact that there are some seriously considering trying to get a lawsuit going should be a huge red flag on its own.

UPDATE (11/19/2024): Its still really bad with the monetization practices, perhaps even worse than before. I don't think that lawsuit went anywhere or did anything. This game is about to cost $30 a month minimum to stay competitive as well as just be able to unlock racers. There are even more racers that will require at least ANOTHER $20-$30 on top of that first $30 just to be able to complete events against bots let alone be competitive with other players.

tl;dr : Unless you have about $60 to spare each month on a dead game don't play this.

This game will bring more hate, anger and frustration into your household than a vindictive step-parent. Just pass on this one.
