Its Free! Servers and game optimization is perfect. Its a game with one of the highest skill ceilings I know, but its also fun if you're not a pro. The gamemodes I enjoy the most is 2v2 ranked. Traditionally Quake is about 1v1, but there is also team based game modes like Sacrifice and CFT.

To get inspired check out Rapha on twitch. He's the best pro player currently and he give a lot of tips on how to approach the game.
