fish is cool

oh boy i know i have no life when im writing a genuine review for a hentai game

the pros:
- art is still fantastic! character models and their outfits look great, i like dressing them all up in fresh looks before going to see them
- for a cheesy hentai game, the music absolutely slaps, and we get a few familiar tracks from HP1
- dialogue is really funny, i actually like kyu more in this one? shes great
- the puzzle part is a challenge, but still fair and pretty fun. i was able to work around the stamina limitations without much difficulty, once you find a groove it is not very hard, similar to HP1
- the baggage system adds some spicy twists and i like the extra strategy needed for them
- the characters are pretty diverse, and i really enjoy watching their interactions
- the recurring characters are on point and i feel are a little more fleshed out than HP1, i got SO excited to see lola in the tutorial

the cons:
- the new characters aren't awful, but kinda lackluster. ashley and lillian feel like just audrey wannabes. i miss aiko.
- due to the finicky stamina system and the risk of unlocking another pesky baggage, i feel discouraged to chat with the girls and learn more about them. i feel like i'm banging a bunch of strangers, especially bc you can't even do anything with them once a date it over, you have to go see someone else immediately
- the baggage for some of these girls can be a huge pain and some combinations are near impossible to work around
- food makes you LOSE stamina??? how??
- can't date kyu :(
- just sarah in general
- two more ways to lose a date! broken hearts knock a girl out instead of you just losing points, so if you're unlucky enough you can lose a date within seconds of it starting. not a big fan of this change :(
- more dependent on luck, especially with the downsized store and waiting for the item i need to be available

i have my criticisms, but i am still enjoying my time with this game so far and don't find the cons to be really detrimental. i still recommend this game if you enjoyed the first huniepop! it's a fun time for sure
