This game passes my "just one more turn" test.

Long:
I've been playing Master of Orion II since I was 9. Man, what a game. I've played it recently as well, and it really is a very good game. Sure, it would be great if you could just get a high res texture pack, larger galaxies, etc, but the game really is well thought out.

Master of Orion, the new one, is not the same game. I think balancing and mechanics are closer to Civ than MOO. There is nothing wrong with that, however. This is a different game, and if you treat it that way, it can be thoroughly enjoyable. I've had a couple of "just one more turn" evenings, which is detrimental to my job performance.

This doesn't replace MOO II, this can be played as an alternative. We must stop treating MOO II as the be-all and end-all of games, and start appreciating alternatives. This game is fun, and I appreciate that.

There are a couple of bugs, but I'm still busy with my game, hasn't broken yet, so if GNN can't pronounce my empire, that is okay.

I won't allow you in my kitchen if you don't show me your prowess with a knife.

Great game with friends. Get a couple of them over, coupled with some liquor, and you have yourself an obscenity riddled, intense competition, awesome evening. It really is great. It could be cheaper, but if you measure is against the amount of fun and frustration you'll get from the game, I'd say get it.

Let me say this, I'd rather have my friends over and play this, than going out and doing something like going to the movies. If you compare it to that expense, it is almost worth it.

This is a game you can play with friends, even if they don't game. If you are having people over, this is a great ice-breaker.

I don't think skill plays a massive part in this game. Everyone can enjoy it. It is just plain fun. Get 4 controllers, 3 friends, and go! Would definitely recommend

Man, I'm surprised. This is fun!

This is better than the new Sim City. You have control over everything. I actually think the new Sim City got some of it's ideas from tropico, although Tropico is much more enjoyable.
