Sadly, I cannot recommend the game at this stage. This is because of performance issues, tons of bugs and, mainly, mind-numbingly bad gameplay decisions. To name a few: stupidly tanky mutants, terrible economy, braindead AI, a completely broken NPC spawning system, etc.

I'm sure it's going to be a great game someday, either because of the devs or modders. However, from my experience so far, I can't shake the feeling that something important is off. To me, it really doesn't feel like a STALKER (i.e. GSC) game, but rather more like a Bethesda game. The game feels really similar to Fallout 4 (which I think is a really bad thing) because of things like trivializing flagship monsters (bloodsucker in tutorial = deathclaw in tutorial, or bloodsuckers everywhere) and similarities in level design (overcrowded yet shallow environments with houses and random stuff every 20 meters)

I hope to change this review as soon as possible.

It's pretty good, but it really, really needs more content.

Nah, great game but people make it unplayable. Don't bother. Not even the devs are bothering, every time they tried to remove trolls/griefers/etc, they had to roll it back or they loose half the community.

Seems really nice, even though is one of those games with great ideas but mind-numbingly bad interfaces. If you want, say, a light tank, forget about basic things like filters... you better know all your PzKpfw by name.

It's alright, a solid 7. The visuals, sound, and atmosphere are really amazing. However, the gameplay is super bland and there's too much hand-holding, to the point where you stop thinking because the game tells you everything. The story starts off really interesting but then becomes a way too predictable teen drama, 'Stand by Me'-esque. It's a shame, I think it could have been a lot more.

It's a really interesting game, a lot of potential. Beware though, it's the kind of game where one mistake equals 10 hours lost...

Great game, a modern classic.

A new, amazingly made take on Half-Life 1, but not a replacement for it. Go play both.
