This is a fresh new take on historical 4X game. Despite its early flaws(not so impressive UI, not so detailed diplomacy interface, region interface, etc), Millennia actually has many merits. I like how different resources and improvements(districts) interacting with each other thus creating even better yields(better products such as steel and cloth). Also, I like the need system of regions. You have to fulfill different needs of your people and in late game, different improvements and city buildings will have some drawbacks( consume electricity, education, etc.). You can no longer simply upgrade everything once you research them. You need to calculate and carefully manage your regions. For combat, once you understand the rule of engagement(Range units attack first; Line units "guard" the rear units and so on), you will enjoy it a lots(the graphic of combat is okay for me). Overall, I enjoy this game so far and I wish to see more contents and improvements to be added to this game in not so distant future.

Even though the collective tasks are repetitive and dull, the story and environment are phenomenal. The meaning behind the whole story is so touching. I cried out when I saw the ending.

A good thrill story about forgiveness and kindness over thousand years of hatred and curses. With Chinese translation, I could finally enjoy the whole experience. Please keep good works coming.

A refreshing and beautiful 3rd person top-down shooter set in a unique cyberpunk world. The graphic and music of this game is phenomenal. The story is interesting enough but slightly short. Despite there are some annoying bugs or balancing issues here and there, this game is still superb and worth trying. I hope the successful launch of this game could allow the developers to keep bring new post-launched contents and future DLCs to prolong the lifespan of this game and broaden the universe of The Ascent!

As a Kickstarter baker and early alpha/beta tester, I cannot recommend this game to anyone at its current status. The graphic and art design of the game is great but beside campaign, the game lacks of descent strategies and system. Similar/identical infantry units for each faction, lacking unit/weapon upgrades, lack of base building elements(only 2 base structures, same on every faction as well), claims to be a slow pace RTS but its not, etc.

More importantly, the dev “full” released the game with many key features missing/not implemented in the game yet. There are no new maps since the beta, no rank play or ladder, no coop campaign/missions, no AI improvements, no steam achievements and so on.

This is extremely disappointing. Despite many players provide their suggestions and warnings to the dev before the full release, the dev barely changes or improves any aspects of the game. If the dev wants to keep improving or fixing the game overtime, they should brand the game as an early access title instead of publishing an unfinished game.

As a baker, I’m really disappointed and would not recommend this game for now to anyone who is interested.

A great reverse horror game with detailed graphics, thrill sound tracks, interesting story, and innovated gameplay. The puzzles in this game are descent and cleaver. This game is not hard and will give you a enjoyable experience.

A fun and goofy coop horror shooter. The game itself is not too expensive. If you could play with 5 other friends, you would have some good fun time. Paid contents such as cosmetics and dlc weapons are a little bit too expensive, however, it is also a way to support the developers to keep update this game. Overall, kf2 is not a bad game, you can still have a lot of fun without spending extra pennies.
