Update - Hunt: Showdown 1896

The graphics are an amazing update.
And the new map? They did a great job.
I love it, it's definitely giving Wild West, Colorado meowtains and mining towns.

The UI is something that will take getting use to compared to the old one.
I do think that the perks should be a little larger because all of them bunched up together feels a little overwhelming.
I love that they made it controller friendly because they made it more hotkey friendly as well which is great.

The events are always exciting and fun.
Crytek doesn't push out battle passes or skins every other week unlike other games.
Since they don't do that, you can actually have time to play other games or enjoy life.

If you do decide to no life between events, you can continuing earning Blood Bonds.
This allows you to get the battlepass for free when the next event comes.

TLDR: Hunt Showdown is an amazing game with a good community.

The first time I played (2021), I was in a trio with 2 friends who were also brand new.
We didn't have very much fun and had no clue what was going on.

After playing with a friend last year, I still had no clue what was going on.
It wasn't until after watching this friend play, I started to grasp the game play.

I decided to give Hunt another chance, there was a slight learning curve at first.
This game has been a lot of fun and different to ones in similar categories.

Achievements are easy enough to obtain.

The community has been, to my surprise, incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful.

Good game for easy achievements.
The free DLC isn't required to get all achievements.

Game play is just really easy puzzles.
There is a button (T) that'll just solve the puzzle for you.

The character design is cute and the art quality is good.
They are a little lewd and the safe version has pieces blurred out.

I recommend playing with the music and sound off.
The music is looped and not very good.
As for the sound, it's a little much.

The 18+ content..
I wasn't expecting the: rock, paper, scissors to nudity.
As soon as I realised that the DLC was downloaded, I uninstalled.

Pretty easy achievements if you can find everything.

There are no save points, so I'd suggest going through the full story at once.

Movement is poor, I got stuck a few times or couldn't move at all.
It would have been nice to be able to move in smoother and efficient manner.

The art style was good for a free game.

The journal entries are nice as you go along or at the end.
It's a great summary of everything you find.

Story wasn't too interesting, but the narrator did a pretty good job.
Due to the type of story and the speed of the dialog, I just didn't have the attention span to sit through some parts.
It would have been nice to have the option to read instead of listening during the first journal entry or at the end.

Catgirls are always 11/10 recommend.

Good game for easy achievements and the badges are super cute.

As for the 18+ content..
It shouldn't be required to get all the achievements, but.. *shrug*
The DLC gallery isn't even ecchi, it's a hentai scene of each of the 10 catgirls.
However, there is a SFW option that you can turn on.

But if you're down bad & sad and hentai is your thing, go for it.

The characters and cosmetics are cute.

This reminds me if Apex & Fortnite had a game child.
Just slightly different game play.

The music is great. 11/10 recommend.
My jaw dropped with how good the default music is.
The lobby and other menu items have different songs.

Most games have decent/good default music...
But this one I can just browse the menu & enjoy browsing.
It's making me want to play and support this game more.

Game play is just whack-a-mole, but you're mindlessly hitting a chibi.

The artwork is tasteful and well done, some of the characters are super cute.

Only thing I'd recommend is sound completely off.

I do think that with the DLC, that there should be a setting to turn on/off the nudity.
With the DLC, the characters go automatically nude at the end of hitting the chibis.

Even though these games are targeted for a more downbad/incel/horny demographic...
There's some of us that play for the achievements, artwork, and seeing the different characters.

I've been playing this for the achievements and have wanted to cry.
I'm 50 hours in, clicking in the background while waiting on other games.
If not, I'm changing the time on my clock to get more monies to unlock more things.
At least the character concepts are cute.
Other than that, I have no clue what's happening and want to cry.
This has to be the longest clicker game in existence.
I just click and cry.
