I really like the gameplay here and I think it has enough things that make it stand out from others in the genre. I’ll explain

It has the most dynamic and satisfying movement/gunplay out of any shooters in the genre (maybe only Destiny is better, but it’s not a pvp game no matter what you do with it)

Out of all hero shooters that I’ve tried this is the only one where almost every character has the following in neutral gameplay (not abilities):

• ADS
• sprint
• crouch
• slide
• dodge
• double/triple jump

It may not sound much, but its core gameplay, its what you do moment to moment, the blood of the whole game

Another thing is it’s’ old school vibes with health packs and arena-like maps; health packs inspire constant change between offense and defense dynamics in your gameplay, I find that really fresh in the current FPS climate.

High TTK is also a thing that makes Concord stand out of the crowd. Some people think that TTK is something that’s either “good or bad” and always should be on the lower side. Truth is that it actually a spectrum like coffee between acidic and bitter and people can prefer different things, some bitter, some acidic or somewhere in the middle. In Concord the higher TTK brings the sense of more intense duels between players. It adds more depth to each gunfight, where you have to be sustainably good to be on top, not just for a fraction of a second, it also heightens the skill ceiling by not reducing it to just reflexes. You have to have sustained aim, you have to account for the fact that your opponent might react nicely and still kill you even if you’re attacking first.

And the last point is that it’s NOT frustrating to lose in Concord, that’s what I find most addictive personally (combined with enjoyable core gameplay)

P.S. Low playtime is because I play on PS5, bought the game here to apply deluxe bonuses through cross-progression. Actual playtime is about 50 hours across all versions
