Not good enough to be a steam release at this price.

Considering that the base game is free, this is just overpriced DLC for content that is alright at best. But if you want to support the creators, then I would recommend getting this game.

The new content offers 1-2 hours of extra, unrelated gameplay that helps you to get to know the characters better, but they come off as sappy and a bit unrealistic. Each story sets itself up with a stereotypical misunderstanding, but then they all become friends in the end. The themes between the base and this are far too different for me to enjoy (it actually felt like I was playing some random dating sim).

The most notable problem is the change in graphical artists when moving from the original DDLC to DDLC+. While the new art isn't bad, it was drastically different to the point where it felt as if I was playing some fanmod (in combination with the different writing) instead of what DDLC is supposed to be. Speaking of graphics, while the sketches were cool and all, the new content they offered is around 16 images as all of the other pictures could've been found on the internet previously.

As for music, I'm not an expert - but I would say it was good. Unfortunately, since the side stories weren't long, you barely get to enjoy them and the only other way to listen to them is the music player in-game. At this price, I would be hoping that they offer the soundtracks for download, instead of having to run the game to play them.

Understandably, the price probably comes from porting the game from Ren'py to Unity so that all platforms could play it, but I don't believe it should be this much for the computer versions that already have access to the game.

That being said, if this is your first time playing this game, you're better off getting the base version. Assuming that the data collection percentage represents how much you've seen of the game, DDLC+ offers approximately 30% of brand new content, none is related to the lore or builds much character.
