Early Access Review
TLDR: 7/10 Would Play this as a Daily Driver.

Long: I have about 58 hours in this and plan to keep playing because I really enjoy this game with friends. It's essentially furry Battlefield with heroes instead of classes. I'd give it a 7/10 not winning any awards but a great pick up an play game if you enjoy what it has to offer.

The Good: The Dev's listen to player feedback and adjust accordingly. Hackers are banned swiftly. The game is fun to play casually. Playing with a squad of friends is the best part. The Dev's shower you in experience boosters and have a free Battle Pass that is generous. The Valiants are each very fleshed out and have unique play styles that are enjoyable.

The Bad: The player base is extremely limited so you will run into the same players over and over if you queue at the same time each day. The empty slots are filled by bots and it can be frustrating playing with them and against them.

The Ugly: The Dev's have overpriced a few things in this game (they did quickly adjust this to reasonable prices). The box price is not doing the game any favors, this kind of game lives and breaths based on the player base. The maps and modes are very limited right now and Mohave is a chore to play.

Initially the game had some significant issues but those seem to be worked out. Sometimes the enemy UI is a bit BS but you learn to deal with it.

The game is very fun, but sometimes the mechanics can be a little frustrating like patrols just spawning on top of you. The game AI just somehow knows where you are at all times, patrols will follow you even if they haven't detected you. If you toss a stratagem from max range while hiding out of line of sight, enemies know exactly where you are the instant it lands.

The progression system isn't bad, there are unlocks to strive for and you can be F2P with enough grinding.

The PCs will shout zealou lines reminiscent of Star Ship Troopers. But, SST was a commentary on fascism, Helldivers 2 falls flat it doesn't provide any substance. There are no characters with a transformative arc where they become the system that killed their friends and lived ones. There are just the Nameless Helldivers who die only to be replaced. It's like the game is too afraid to provide a proper commentary on capitalism and just give us a caricature of what we think is a problem system without either providing us with any context or nuance to see why it's a problem. It's like a stand-up comedian who works the crowd and nothing else.

The game runs with an anti-cheat software in the background which prevents software like AHK from running. It doesn't stop hackers from pumping payed credits into their accounts so good job. I guess? Also getting the game to run on first install should be automatic. It shouldn't require going out and finding a Microsoft C++ Redistribute to download myself. Any halfway decent game will do that on first launch.

TLDR; Fun game, okay progression, bad anti-cheat that doesn't stop hackers and big installation headaches with some micro-transactions sprinkled in.

Dark, Bloody and Violent only begins to describe the psychological mess that is Laika: Aged Through Blood. It's not the extreme acts of violence that get me, it's the Coyote mother out for vengeance and her ability to put down anyone who stands in her way. From the messed up things the Birds do, to the messed up things that Laika's family and community do to her. You'll be stunned by the story only to feel a twinge of cathartic relief as you take out your frustration on the enemy one shot at a time. Oh and you do back-flips on your motorbike to reload.

Fantastic evolution of the Pokemon like RPG. The Double Battles really require you to strategize in battles and the tuneable difficulty is a fantastic. The twist on the typical proficiency and mastery of the various types was significantly better than what modern Pokemon games have devolved into and the soundtrack is top notch.

Pretty good for a Yi-Gi-Oh Card Game Simulator. It will help you learn the rules and offers an inexpensive on ranp to Link Duels. My one grip is figuring out where to get the cards for a particular deck or archetype requires you to use the Wiki. But good news, opening packs is just like in real life! You'll be saying "Come on I just need one more copy." in no time at all.

It's the same Krita as the version on the .org website. You get automatic updates with a small donation. Certainly much less of an investment compared to a similar product and you can use all your brushes and presets, just be sure to make a shortcut to the .exe in case steam is offline.

Someone asked me "Do you like math?" Of course I do! I replied earnestly. He followed up and asked "Do you like space?" I had to give a snarky reply "Does a galactic super massive black hole have a density less than that of water beyond the event horizon?" After thinking about it he followed up with "Stellaris is math in space and you can play as the "Borg", the "Daleks", the "Tyranid", a Megachurch which may or may not be driven by the holy profit, or some cute Gekos that want to purge the galaxy of all of the non Gekos." Stellaris is good if you like Grand Strategy games and the game lore plays out in new and interesting ways each play through. Be prepared to restart your game 4-5 times before getting the hand of it. Then be ready for a 20+ hour play through as you coax, bribe and purge your way through the galaxy. Oh and you pick a color and get to watch that color expand on the map.

Where to begin? The bugs, the terrible acting, the terribly balanced and bland campaign? Yeah not worth it, not even with 15% off. Just play skirmish if you really have an itch for the old RTS.

It's a fun hack and slash side scroller with RPG and platforming elements.
