First of all, the game is great. It's super fun, with friends or without. It has it's bugs, but the game is far from unplayable. However, I would instead like to touch on the developers of the game: Behaviour Interactive. Going to be a bit long so buckle up.

The devs get a lot of flack for not changing certain aspects of the game (Freddy, DS, Hatch, Dedicated Servers), but overall the amount of love they really do put into it shows. Just the other day, a new matchmaking system was announced to be put into practice, significantly cutting down on lobby times, notably for killers who sometimes have to wait 15-20 minutes for one match that is lucky to last half that time. In theory, the new system is supposed to cut that down to roughly 30 seconds, which is definitely a massive improvement!

Earlier this year, they had a roadmap detailing what they wanted to accomplish over the next year. I believe this is the first time they've ever done something like this. The devs have always been pretty open and active within the community, but something like this really did show how far they wanted to look into the future. They've added cosmetics, they improved the ranking system a little, they added a test server that anyone can opt into, they've added three new killers & survivors (and one more being fully revealed this week), they even gave a few killers (Trapper, Hag, Wraith) some quality of life buffs.

They've also had a few events this year, including extra bloodpoint gains, but I'm only going to talk about the special events. I remember the first two events earlier this year you could earn a measly one cosmetic item for both killer and survivor, both specific to certain characters... However, this last Halloween event allowed you to get not one, but SIX cosmetic items! That's enough for two full outfits. Plus, there were many to choose from, so you didn't have a specific item forced upon you, nor were you forced to complete an outfit. In addition, if you didn't want to grind for them, you could outright buy them with real money if you like, but I personally preferred the idea of getting two outfits for free. They also used this event to test the idea of secondary objectives in order to slow down generator progress, another problem the game typically has, so props to them for that. Oh, and they added story cutscenes as the event progressed, another first for DBD events.

Finally, I'd like to talk about how interesting each killer release is. I love the design of every killer they've made - each own tailored with their own unique ability, look, personality, and story. It's interesting to see how some of them more or less start out malicious in their lifetime, while others become tainted or corrupted. With every killer release, they seem to take how others play into consideration. This notably shows in the perks of each character, but I think the powers of the killers are taken into consideration as well. The last two killer releases (Clown & Spirit) really reflect that to me, as both help killers better capitalize on a certain playstyle, being looping and mindgames respectively. Lastly, I'd like to touch on how cool it is that they have licensed movie killers as actual killer in the game! Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, even the Pig Mask from Saw. While I'm in love with their original killers, I love to see them breathe new life into these characters and franchises, and I would love to see them do something similar with Jason or Ghostface, but I won't hold my breath just yet.

Overall, the game has seen a lot of improvements over this last year. There are lots of little things I forgot to mention, but trust me when I say there's more. Of course not every decision they make is received well, or even the right decision. However, I truly believe they want to make the best game they can. They have Developer Q&A's all the time trying to talk about what they'd like to do in the future, and what they are doing right now, so it rarely feels like we're in the dark.

TLDR: I think we did a pretty good job so far.

You make a business, then go into space and make another business. It's alright.

There is a game called Endless Ocean where all you do is explore the ocean, documenting the wildlife. I thought that was such a cool concept and I played it a ton. While there are a few differences, FarSky reminds me of Endless Ocean.

First of all, FarSky is about being stuck at the bottom of the ocean, trying to survive while you slowly try to rebuild your submarine. You start with a base to live in and to restore your oxygen and a few tools: a drill to mine resources (you will need these to craft other things, such as weapons), an extractor to passively get resources for you (you have to place it somewhere outside), and some food.

You have to get resources, use those resources to craft things, kill animals to get food (or alternatively plant certain foods), and slowly get your submarine parts that are scattered throughout the ocean. The game is so simple, yet so full of life. Think 3D Minecraft, but underwater.

As I mentioned earlier, FarSky reminded me of Endless Ocean, and it does! There is a big ocean to explore with many creatures to see. I really felt immersed while playing. Every time I play, I always find something new, whether it be a creature or an area. It really feels like you're in the ocean, which I think is important for a game like this.

In conclusion, FarSky has a charm that is rarely seen. The concept of being stranded underwater and having to adapt to your environment and survive is fun and I'd love to see more come out of it. As I'm writing this review, the game is on Humblebundle. I would highly recommend getting it just for this game! You don't have to pay much and it's definitely worth a lot more than that.

Also, keep note that while there is a good amount of content, there is definitely a lot of room for more and sometimes can feel a little lacking. Multiplayer would be a really nice addition.
