Early Access Review
So far I am really enjoying It Lurks Below. I like the simple graphical art style and the fact that it pays to explore DOWN as opposed to Side to Side is just different enough to make it stand out on it's own. The inclusion of the Yellow and Green flashing borders to remind you if you are hungry or tired is a real help as one does not always 100% monitor the little icons in the left hand corner of the screen.

I would like some improvements but these are very minor in the scheme of things.

1. Please allow craftable chests. I know the bank is for storage, but even a small chest would help us out a lot.
2. Please balance the speed of pickaxes. After upgrading it 2 times, I still feel that they are a bit slow.
3. Raise the volume on the Moofulo. He is adorable!

If anyone is curious about the gameplay, we are doing a series leading up to the first underground boss here: https://youtu.be/Mp8d-5s2d1s

Super impressed with this game so far and hands down one fo the better Early Access I've ever played.

This is a hard one for me to review. I do not mind minecraft clones as they usually can present more options and fun ideas than what vanilla minecraft has to offer. On the other hand, there are some things that Minecraft does very well that this game seems to be lacking.

So here is my review after a few hours into the game.

I love the open world, how smoothly the game runs, and the atmosphere. There are a lot of cool things to craft and neat things to make your base look really really neato burrito. The problem is that even the smallest items require a lot of materials to build.

For example: A wooden wall is simply wood. No worries there. The floor on the other hand require a total of 3 items in order to craft. So it is a lot slower for me to finish a wooden floor than the walls. That constantly forces me to triple check my inventory for the smallest things.

Secondly, I really, REALLY dislike the arbitrary wait times for crafting, mining, etc. It feels like mobile wait times. It's not TOO bad...but it is still annoying. I usually use one of the excavators to start working on ore only to forget where it is when I go out to waste time with exploration.

Leveling up weapons and your mining glove is also a chore. This is mostly due to the fact that the game goes RPG on you - I.E. where you can only level something up once you get the weaker version of it. Due to the limited mining gloves or swords, you are always stuck on meh-tier goodies, forced to keep searching and searching for monster bits to get the next level only to repeat it.

Whereas, in Minecraft, I can get the items several levels higher as long as I find the items. No unlocking anything or waiting. For example; let's say I find some diamonds while using an stone sword. I do not need to go from stone, to iron, to obsidian, to finally diamond. I get the materials, I get the sword. Period.

The biggest downside is the fact that the Mining Glove doesn't speed up. I've gotten to the Obisidian Cell glove and I am still pulling out dirt and wood as slowly as I did at the start of the game. If leveling up the glove cell let me mine lower tier items faster, it would be a lot less tedious.

These things said; the game is actually pretty neat. It has a lot of things going for it and while I did find myself having fun, I do not feel this will have that much of a lasting appeal for me. It gets many things right but what it gets wrong is just frusterating enough to keep me from coming back.

Despite the fact the game is not half bad, I Still have to put a thumb down for the simple fact of microtransactions. The Pro version does not really unlock everything. I just really cannot put a thumbs up for something that pushes microtransactions after purchasing the pro version.

I really enjoy the voice acting and the puzzle elements aren't too irritating to put me off. So far, I am finding this to be one of those great 2-3 hour time wasters that aren't too difficult nor too easy.

Love the art style and the voice acting. The storyline was actually rather creepy as well - though I wish it had a more concrete ending. The puzzles ranged from easy as pie to medium difficulty. However there are a few puzzles whose explaination is so poorly presented that you feel like your head will explode trying to understand what is going on.

Overall though, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Beat it in 4 hours but missed a few side quests. No biggie really. I'd recommend this one easily.

I purchased this game when it was on sale after reading about the fan-service. I won't lie. I enjoy fan service. However, breasts and panties can only go so far before I get bored. I like some substance to my perversion and luckily this game provided me with said substance. While the story is not complicated by any means, I did find myself really enjoying the characters.

The story is pretty standard. Modern day boy gets sent to ancient Japan-like world where he encounters 2 sexy female guards and 2 sexy female foxes - all of which will eventually grow to like him. He must help them with their problems while also trying to figure out a way to get him.

This is **NOT** a game. This is a visual novel. The choice at the end fo the game is strictly to allow you to unlock two images in the gallery. That said, it is light-hearted and a fun read. I think it took me about 3-4 hours to get through it mostly due to the fact I was screenshotting so much :P

Good fan service. Cute characters. Simple story. Not for everyone though but it was for me.

Using my amazing super powers, I jumped over a skyscraper, flew across the map only to find a gang of aliens hanging out by a glowing red reactor-thingy. Without landing, I charged up my Atomic Fist and hit the ground so hard with it that it caused a small contained, nuclear explosion.

I then shoved an anal prob into the survivor's bum and rocketed him into the lake.

This game is gold.

I shall keep this one simple.

PROS:

- Beautiful art style. Great backgrounds and character design
- Entertaining music
- Good humor
- Decent length

Cons:

- Some areas are very difficult to figure out due to hints that are very vague.
- Rufus's walking speed is very slow and irritating. I had no clue either that you can jump straight to the location by double clicking to bypass the walking until 3/4 into the game.
- Storyline is decent but is over-all forgettable.

The game is a good point and click. Nothing really screams BAD game to me nor does nothing scream AWESOME EXPERIENCE. It was worth the discounted price I paid and it was mildly amusing as I played. Great game for some, decent for others.

I am voting yes because I know that there are people who would enjoy this game. Personally this game is not my cup of tea. It claims to be fast paced but I found it rather dull and mundane. However, I can see why others would get a kick out of the game. If a slower-paced strat-rpg is your thing, please enjoy this. I mean it. For me on the other hand, it just isn't very entertaining.

Not a good game for me. Maybe a good game for others.

A fantastic Troll game that pushes your limits without breaking your spirit. I find this game more funny than frusterating because everytime the game tricks - thus murdering - me, I am overjoyed by the sick and twisted nature of the developers to punish me :3
