In Short:
Old game with a good detective story. But game has few bugs, with solutions in community discussion page. A One time game save delete+restart is needed to complete it. If this is a show stopper for You then do not buy it.
Genre: Point and Click Hidden Object + Puzzle solving.
End of Short review

This is actually a good game if it did not have a few bugs. The bugs have solutions which You can find in community discussions page.

Only let down was I had to delete my first/current game progress (with some 30 mins of game-play) and start a fresh to workaround one glitch/bug. The game went smooth with fresh save restart. Apparently this one time restart has to be done per community discussion page. The game-play is smooth otherwise.

If this one time restart (30 mins into the game) is fine with You, then this game is definitely good. If this is a show stopper, then well, do not buy this... :)

Minimalist puzzle with soothing music, has around 65 levels with a new game/puzzle mechanic revealed every 5 levels, giving a game-play time of around 2 hours average. Need to complete 60 levels to get 100% achievement. Levels above 55 are on the tougher side, but if You get stuck on them, there are game walk-throughs available on YouTube! Overall, I would recommend the game.

Well, the last episode was heavy!! The initial few episodes had choices which were not very impacting to the story line (like typical telltale games, where eventually the story ends up in the same path regardless of the detours Your choices make in the story-line.. )

However, telltale really outdid themselves in episode 4 and especially episode 5. Episode 5 had so many heavy choices, damn. I truly do not know if telltale can ever recover from so many different story-lines they ended up delivering in this season. So, next season seems like a big question mark right now :)

To summarise, Episode 1 was ok, EP.2 was a bit dark and kind of exhausting, Ep.3 and Ep.4 is where things picked up and Ep.5 was where telltale outdid themselves. Overall, I would recommend this game. Playtime around 9 to 10 hours to complete the game.

I just want to do one thing after playing this piece of crap/♥♥♥♥/junk.
1. Leave my country.
2. Get into the US and become a cop in Redwood City, California.
3. Every time the game designers get into their car to go to office, ram into their car (this is what their game does), Rob them of all money, so that they do not have enough money to fuel their car and so, they cant reach their office. Bcoz thats how bad they have designed this game (especially cop chases and cop spawning).

To summarise this game:
1. Complete couple of races during day and get into heat level 5.
2. Spawn at night with a heli already hovering above You and start a cop chase instantly.
3. The cops in this game are more dirty drivers than the players, bcoz they will ram into anything that gets in between them and You.
4. Escape the pursuit only to start a new one instantly.
5. And voila, You have entered an existential crisis on WTF am I doing in my life for past 2 hours getting chased by endless dirty swarm of cops.
6. 90% of the time is spent in running from cops, 10% time spent on races which are anyways sabotaged by them again. :)

P.S: Escaping the pursuit is manageable, but instantly after the pursuit is escaped, some random heli or cop car spawns next to the player and here we go again. Once I got into and escaped 8 cop chases back to back for 2 hours, just to finally make it to a race, which again got sabotaged by SWAT cars ramming into me, while all other racers in the race got free pass. This game is that dumb.

Few other dumb things in this game:
1. There are auxiliary addons like signal jammers, undercover racer etc. And they are expensive, which is fine. But whats the point if You install it once on a ride and it cant be used for other rides even if the ride on which signal jammer is originally installed is parked in garage. Felt kind of dumb. Performance addons stuck to a ride is fine, but signal jammer? Really?
2. The heat is tied to the player and not the ride, like WTF? You stove away the high heat ride, pick a new ride and move out of garage and still heat level is 5.
3. Chevy Corvette cop cars can keep up with Bugatti Chiron!!

This game thought me what Alt+F4 does and this key set has become my best friend while playing this game. The back to back loop of start and escape pursuit is so boring and frustrating. Stay away for this piece of ♥♥♥♥.

@EA Devs: Congratulations for getting the 1st thumbs down from me after buying some 300 odd games in steam :) Also, You lost one of Your loyal fans from NFS2-SE days. Good bye!

Short game, simplistic, and yet to some extent challenging puzzles. Has around 80 puzzles (which includes some tutorial levels too). It has a good soothing background music. Overall good puzzle game.

In a Nutshell
Casual point and click, hidden object and puzzle game with "average" story.

Pros:
1. Gives good 5 to 6 hours of game play with the free bonus content included.
2. No time limits to solve any puzzles.
3. Has 4 game difficulty levels.
3. Info button available to inform how to solve the puzzle.
4. Hint option available if you get stuck anywhere.
5. Has trading cards and easy to get 100% steam achievement.

Cons:
Nothing major as such. Sometimes the game auto-hints can be misleading.

For 100% steam achievement, please do the following:

1. Never use hints to solve hidden objects scene or puzzles. They are not that difficult. If stuck somewhere, there are guides to keep You going. (Link below)

2. Do not skip any hidden object scene or puzzles in the base game story. As mentioned above, refer to guides if stuck, but the puzzles are pretty easy. Puzzles can be skipped in bonus story.

3. Complete both 1st hidden object scene and 1st puzzle within a minute. If You can not get it in 1st attempt, delete and create a new profile as these 1st puzzle/hidden object scene comes within 3 mins of game play. It might be a bit difficult to finish latter puzzles under 1 minute.

4. Find the morphing objects in whichever scenario You find one. These are missable, so if you do not want to miss them, refer to the community guides where exact details are provided on where to find them.

Game difficulty level does not matter for unlocking steam achievements.

As always, please let me know if You have any queries in comments section.

Would Highly recommend to Play Far Cry 5 before playing this Game.
You can find my detailed review about Far Cry 5 here: https://steamproxy.net/id/kickaasss/recommended/552520/

Coming back to New Dawn:
Pros: (Extra features added when compared to FC5)
1. Concept of Home base and upgrading them.
2. Multiple sections to be upgraded in home base and these section upgrades improves player skills too, which takes us to next point.
3. Unlike older FC instalments, skill set split into two parts: home base upgrades and personal skills. This de-clutters personal skills menu, which is great. It looked too cluttered in FC5.
4. Need to craft weapons/vehicles instead of buying directly.
5. Need to upgrade home base to get better level of weapons/vehicles etc.
6. Adds 4 levels of enemy proficiency/skills. Each outpost and story missions can have a mix of these enemies. Enemy skills can be identified by looking at their attire with tactical camera.
7. Adds 4 levels of weapons and after final level (Elite) is unlocked, weapons can be upgraded unlimited times.
8. Adds 4 levels of vehicles as well, higher level vehicles are expensive to build (need more parts), but have stronger build and better weapons.
9. Adds expedition missions related to the in game story, which is to steal packages for parts. Shoot everyone who gets in Your way with guns or in stealthy way, but better to do it stealthy because enemies waves attacking You will be unlimited, until You escape.
10. Multiple expeditions in different landmarks.
11. Cool music at enemy outposts.
12. After conquering enemy outposts, option to scavenge the resources and release the outpost.
13. Difficulty to retake scavenged/released outposts increases each time the outpost is released upto 3 times, after which, it gets repetitive.

Cons:
1. Shorter Story/gameplay when compared to FC5.
2. Lots of logical mistakes in story line, cant give away spoilers, so not telling it here.
3. Option to form a crew with specialists removed, no idea why. So, now only one specialist can be used at a time.
4. Camera angle does not suit all vehicles, in few vehicles, its difficult to see the road ahead properly.

Again, this game is good/fast moving, but need to play Far Cry 5 before playing this, to understand the story better.

In a nutshell:
Pros:
1. Good graphics
2. Surprises in the story at the end
3. Game physics is good
4. More involvement of Bosses in game (unlike Far Cry 4), which is good.
5. Adds lot more contents in the game when compared to its predecessors.
6. Availability of Guns for hire. OR form Your own squad with AI characters, which gets unlocked as the story progress.
7. No more tower capture to unlock a region (although some elements of it exists here too)
8. More detailed and realistic gun/vehicular battles.
9. Support for Co-op in Story mode.
10. Arcade mode for some extra game play.

Cons:
1. Even on pretty good configuration PC(GTX 1070 8GB), FPS drops to 30 sometimes, but not many instances. Probably because the game is tailored for AMD graphics.
2. No option to change difficulty in middle of game story. Need to play out entire story in same difficulty level.
3. Too much content in Game User Interface (UI) /Map which causes the UI to be cluttered.
4. If You are someone who is moving up the far cry timeline and played FC3 and FC4 before this, You might take at least an hour of game play to understand the game features.
5. In gun battles, hit reg not accurate sometimes.
6. Co-op in story mode restricted to only 2 players in total (i.e. Yourself and one friend).
7. If You invite Your friend to play in Co-op, only Your story proceeds/missions complete, and your friend's does not.

Above Pros and Cons should be sufficient if You do not have time to read through the detailed review and need to decide if You want to buy this game or not. More detailed review below.

P.S: Please play this game before playing Far Cry: New Dawn, to enjoy the new dawn instalment better.

In Detailed Review:
The Game:
Unlike prior Far cry instalments, this game environment has more modern vibes to it. So, You'll have more modern weapons, and visiting a place on the map reveals it. No more tower climbing to remove cloaking.

Basically, the map is a group of islands, ruled over by one main Boss (The Father) and 3 under bosses (His 2 brothers and 1 sister, well not biological though, haha). They together form a cult and make life hell for the natives. Its either join the cult or face Your maker, simple right?

So, You play the role of a rookie deputy who will fight Your way to liberate the islands, and there is lots of story and elements to it on the way.

The bosses:
Each boss brings in their own flavour and elements to the story and game play, which is kind of good and makes missions less repetitive. The more outposts You liberate (not many, may be 4 to 5 outposts per boss) and more missions You complete (given by the natives), the more interest the local boss takes in You, taking you closer to defeat them.

The Vehicles:
A wide variety of Vehicles available, like trucks, vans, SUVs, boats etc along with the new addition of airplanes and helicopters, which can be used in free roam and missions.

Guns for Hire:
Basically 2 types:
Type 1: Civilian
Each civilian You rescue from the cults grasp during free roam can be used as a Gun for hire during next mission, until You release them. They ride with You, they can die for You, kill for You with guns blazing or with stealth. They can be found all over the map. No specialisations as such, good for regular gun fights.

Type 2: Story AI Characters
The other set of Guns for hire are the characters which are unlocked as You progress in main story. This set of Guns for hire are specialists and can be added to your squad. They can be called upon whenever You need them. There are 9 of these specialists which includes 3 animals and rest humans. The human specialists include a sniper, an airplane pilot, a helicopter pilot, a crossbow specialist (for stealth), a missile man etc. You can form a squad with them or call them in separately.

Skills:
Unlike prior instalments, skills in FC5 can be unlocked by finishing challenges. The challenges (which can be viewed in Map menu) needs to be completed to get reward points. These reward points can be used to unlock skills. Some challenges (for example) are get 10 kills with grenade, 8 kills with knife throw, 20 Melee kills, 5 road kills etc. So, higher the game difficulty, completing some challenges might get a bit difficult as game AI gets better.

Skills are similar to FC3 and FC4, not many changes here. One difference I noticed is, no more crafting for weapon bag, loot bag, weapon holster etc by hunting animals for skins. This too needs reward points now. So make sure where You spend Your reward points well.

Weapons:
Anything and everything from a knife to arrow, pistol to assault and sniper rifles, from Grenade launchers to guided RPGs. If You have DLCs purchased too, You get martian weapons as well. You can carry upto 4 weapons at a time, provided You have unlocked the large weapon holster by using those reward points.

Overall I would definitely recommend the game.

Graphics: 8/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Story: 7/10
Attention to details: 6/10

Thanks for reading the detailed review. Please let me know if You have ore questions in comments section.

Follow 3 things to play the game:

1. Install latest graphics driver to avoid crashes.

2. After 1, If You think You are unable to make progress in the game due to a glitch, exit and restart the game, things will sail after that. The game auto-saves all stages of a mission.

3. Enjoy the Story and Gameplay. Let the guns do the talking!!

Detailed review to follow after I finish the game.

This game story takes place in the small country located at the foot hills of the Himalayas. The country is torn with civil war though.

Although the story of this game is shorter when compared to Far Cry 3, this game definitely has more content when compared to Far Cry 3, with both thick forest and icy Himalayan mountain environments. It has a missions based on a mythical place too, which I kind of liked, and few missions in this mythical place are difficult to finish..

You can have different missions in story line based on the choices you take in the game, some choices are tough to make too.. However, if You like Far cry series a lot, You can play the game twice, alternating the choices in both game plays.

Having said that, the villain's character in this game lacks the punch given by Far Cry 3. FC3 villain was way better than this game villain. The side missions (besides the main story missions) does not seem to have major impact on story line, it does not matter whether You complete the side missions or not.

Based on the extra content of this game (when compared to its predecessor) and multiple game environments, I would definitely recommend this game.
