9/10 would definitely recommend this game!

My honest review (NO SPOILERS!):
It's refreshing to finally have an FF main title with a mature-themed story and not the old cheesy, snowflaky theme of its predecessors. Dialogues are very natural and not wikipedia-style that would just leave you skipping everything. Voice acting and performance capture in cutscenes are surprisingly good!

The GOOD:
- Mature and compelling story. Game of Thrones style I would say.
- Very minimal cheesy or wikipedia-style dialogues.
- No excessive and unnecessary grunting as fillers between dialogues! (Yes, I'm looking at you FF7R)
- Voice acting and performance capture is good!
- Full-blown action rpg.
- Boss fight cinematics are so good they all feel like final bosses.

The BAD:
- Poor performance. Lots of FPS drops and stuttering (No patches since launch at this point).
- Combat lacks depth compared to FF7R (I'm still at 70% progress so...).
- Could've had a harder difficulty right off the bat.
- Enemies could've had more complex moveset.
- Side quests are mostly fetch quests and their dialogues are skip-worthy.

While Genmaji Temple is still locked behind paywall, I appreciate that the devs listen to the community's feedback and offered free 500 Tekken Coins for everyone along with the next DLC stage as free for season pass owners.

While there's still the issue of game balancing and prowess matchmaking, the recent progress is a good indicator that most likely the devs will address these one way or another, hopefully.

Updating this to a positive review as it is now playable.

After patch 1.0.1.7 and downloading the nvidia hotfix driver, I had no more crashes. VRAM usage is a bit lower. Now getting 55-70 fps with custom high settings at 1440p with some texture settings set to medium and DLSS to quality whereas prior to the patch, I can only go with medium preset to minimize crashing.
Mouse still feels a bit jittery.
At first launch after the update, it built shaders again and took probably like 20-30 mins. Not really sure cause I went afk for about 30 mins.

The game itself is still a masterpiece. With the updated graphics, the actors' performances really shines a bit more. Totally an improved experience to the already amazing performances.

Looking forward to the next "large patch" as they put it. Hopefully they'll include the mouse jittery fix with it.

Good game. Not as beautiful as people make it seem but still a good one.

My only issue with the game is the AWFUL shimmering everywhere especially the grass, tree leaves and snow falling. You can almost not see the view clearly.

Good game. Enjoyed almost as much as Odyssey

Amazing game! I don't care about the AC fanboys, but I really enjoyed every bit of this game including both season passes. I love the gameplay on this one even more than Origins and Valhalla. And I love Kassandra! They really did a great job with the character.

Great remake but too short for the price.

Better wait for an 80% off discount.

Damn this really is a bitter-sweet nostalgic experience but still a very fresh one.

The original re2 and re3 were two of my all-time favorite games since I was a kid and this remake really did them justice.

One of the decent JRPGs lately.

What I like about it is that it's a little more dark and mature than a usual JRPG. It still has those cheesy elements though but not too much that it becomes cringey.

It has its mind f*cking moments and I love it!
