I first played an NES that my parents owned, they had all the classic games and some weird ones. First handheld was the Game Boy Color, and then I got an N64 for Christmas when that came out.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest on the 3DS. It's superior to the original game on N64 in every way, the puzzles are actually difficult, and there are enough small changes to make it feel fresh. I thought there was no way it was going to hold up to modern standards, and then it did.
