As the description says "A short minimal, puzzle game", but it's fun nontheless.

It counts 50 levels slowly introducing new mechanics and making the levels a bit more complex. However there is a point the complexity is achieved by overcrowding the screen making you search for the beginning of the puzzle. This is mostly in the later levels.

I did have some resolution problems using a monitor with a 2560x1440 resolution. You can't change any options in-game since there are no options, therefore I was left stuck with "most likely" a 1080p resolution making the game very pixelated on my screen.

During the 50 minutes it took me to complete the levels the resolution didn't bother me too much, but it would be a nice addition to add some extra options for the resolution and disabling the sound.

About the game. As a big fan of the Monkey Island series I can't really say it belongs in the same group. Ghost Pirates has the exact same controls as Curse of Monkey Island, the same art style and it's about pirates. But it lacks a bit in the humour department. Some puzzles aren't really logical and after much trial and error I just looked up the answers. Most of the time the order of things was incorrect or some small thing just popped up in a place where I just looked before.

Encountered numerous problems starting the game, looking at the discussions I'm not the only one. Eventually I got it running by forcing it to use my onboard graphics. Using a video card just wouldn't work.

However problems left asside I did enjoy the game and would recommend it when it's on sale. Looking at my play time I've finished it in about 10 to 12 hours.
