Amazing game, If you are a fan of MMORPGs, you are right at home even on early access this game kicks ass!

7/10 definately a must play
however you need to temper your expectations as it still some time in the oven, specially over optimization. The score I gave it is just based on my personal experience so your experience may vary.

-Heavy Stuttering is a big issue for me as a HDD warrior, I keep running into storage stutters (I know its related to storage) and invisible enemies/particles due to the game refusing to preload these into ram. This is a major turn-down for me. I cant do most of the end game due to the sheer amount of enemies on screen and how often the game will just freeze or outright not render enemies which gets me killed.

I know this is storage-related stutter as I can see my HDD usage spiking when these happen. I have no idea why the game uses at most 3.5gb of ram and relies on my drive to load anything not already in ram, this is ridiculous considering they recomend 16gb of ram yet only using, at most, 1/4th of that. No need for a SDD if all assets are correctly loaded into ram (as they should)

Other than that minor issues is the fact that you experience the game all by yourself other than partying with friends and in towns where you meet many random players seemingly just standing there afk, tanking fps no matter what your system is. In this light, Id suggest an option to not draw other players at all (unless in your party/guild/friends) since this is not your typical MMORPG, this would just be a net positive change for those like me who dont actually engage with other players other than global chat.

CPU and GPU will almost never go past 30-40% usage and sit at most at 50fps and even lower if too many assets or my draw distance is set to any sensible ammounts. No amount of changing options or resolution gives any meaningful FPS change in game. However, in the menu, the game will fly to 300fps with 95% GPU usage no problem. GG Nelson.

Besides this, the netcode is garbage, I keep seeing my shots draw blood, get killed and in the killfeed they're 100hp meaning NoReg for no discernible reason besides the game deciding I had to lose that gunfight. If this wasnt enough theres a strange delay on every input you make, pressing the movement keys, jumping, shooting, everything is delayed and if you buffer presses too fast, it will skip them entirely leading to many situations where you try shooting your weapon and it wont shoot at all, leading to an undeserved death

Dev will keep on adding content instead of making sure the content already in the game or that the engine itself is optimized, fix ur ♥♥♥♥ nelson, its been 8 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years and it runs as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as it ran day 1

TL:DR: The game is worth your time if you can look past its short-comings (mostly the result of it being F2P and not AAA, which forces Devs to cut corners everywhere they can) and enjoy it for what it is, an attempt to capture the spirit of the classic Call of Duty games.

--------------------------------Longer Review and Slight Rant------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, thank you for reading my review, contrary to however many hours I might have on steam, ive played this game since release and have experienced many things within the game, some good and some bad. However, i cannot deny how much fun i have had since started playing it and that even though it has its problems, it is a damn fine game and one of the most entertaining in the genre. Now, that being said, i have some words about this game and not all of them nice, lets start with the bad:

-Netcode is meant for low Latency which means that the inevitable cases where someone has bad latency will have a significant advantage since this game seems to prioritize gunfire over movement information, meaning you sometimes might think someone prefired you when in reality, they saw you normally by turning a corner, YET, in your client, you started getting shot sometimes BEFORE you even see the person pop out of the corner.

-Weapon Balance, man this one is really bad, there are weapons blatantly better than others that make most of the rest irrelevant and a waste of money. Moreover, theres an issue with body-part penalties that in no way resembles the model that CoD games use:

>Hitting limbs decreases your damage significantly, unlike CoD games where this only happens with snipers, this makes damage profiles unreliable since the weapon you're using more than often isnt doing the damage that is mentioned in the stats even at optimal range. This im 100% will never get fixed since this is a staple of asian games of this sort (ie: GitS:SP) and in reality, it does make sense, however detrimental it might be to gameplay and consistency.

-Map design: Ever since release the only enjoyable map is Cruise which is, btw, the FIRST ever new map the game received, it has lots of Hijacked vibes but most importantly, its a 3-lane map where almost every playstile is viable and confortable with good lines of sight and performance. Every single map released since is either way too big, way too convoluted or simply terrible for performance.

-Now, the biggest bad about this game: Performance. This game is known for its poor performance even on killer PCs with high-end components, as an example lets use my computer and pair it with what is arguably the lightest map in the game: Mart, on my i5 2400, 8gb ddr3 1333mhz, 1060 3gb system, this game will run at a max of 85 fps and will usually drop down to 45-55fps for most of the match. I have tried changing GPU drivers, closing every unnecesary program, reinstalling the game, unparked my cores, etc... If it can be found on google, ive already tried it and even lowering detals/resolution wont help, the gpu isnt the problem and my computer can even run Doom Ethernal without any issues whatsoever. There is no justification for such poor performace on a PC that should be able to run this @ 60fps at all times.

This is a problem for many many players and has never been either addressed nor fixed by the Devs.

-Scarh, the only (most reliable) 3-shot full auto AR has 20 bullets and extended magazine only adds 5 bullets and does NOT add the additional bullets (i mean, you're carrying bigger maps, you should get additional ammo to your spare ammo). This is a problem shared with the more mediocre Sa58.

-Theres an obvious lack of perk balance, there is almost no reason to Not have the Quick Reload + Double Time + [Whatever perk since they're all underwhelming AF] since none of the perks in section 1 are more helpfull than reloading 30% faster except for Nimble Hands which is literally must have for SnD matches (30% faster plant/defuse time). Double Time is basically Stalker/Stock from the CoD franchise, allowing you to move faster while ADSing and again, no other perk on this section has an effect that even tempts you to swap this, the only one that COULD be the exception is Feather Steps which is basically Dead Silence/Ninja from CoD, and as expected its supposed to mute your footsteps but in this game it only does it while you're walking and not while sprinting, i dont think i need to explain why this is ridiculous and dissapointing specially since you DO NOT produce any noise when you move while ADSing which makes DT double as a discount Feather Step for free. On the 3rd perk, it can be anything since none of them are bad enough to not choose one or good enough to even remember their names.

There are no perks that allow you to carry more ammunition and you will be having to swap weapons if you survive for long enough.

All of that aside, Lets talk about the good:

>Its fun
>Feels like CoD but fairly less unpolished and less crisp
>Decent graphics
>Good weapon variety even though currently the meta-slaves will be seen spraying everyone with P90s
>The drones are all fun and useful and since its an accumulative point system rather than a streak system, everyone should be able to pop their selected drones at least once per-game
>YOU CAN PAY MONEY TO PLAY AS THE FRICKEN DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JHONSON
>Not P2W

I give this game a Banana/10 which means its pretty good but nothing to die for

After a couple patches since its initial release and reviewing it negatively, i have the game another go and boy, it won me over.

Now, first and foremost, theres rumors that this game has a keylogger along a dataminer to steal your files and info. This is totally false.

What the game does is use a datamine to see what the programs you're running are doing specially if they interact with the game, all in an effort to reduce cheating.

So, withough further ado, lets dive right into the possitives:

-Free 2 Play.
-Absolutely NOT Pay 2 Win.
-You can have 2 sights on the same weapon and you swap them with the push of a button, and incredibly useful addition.
-You can temporarily mark whatever point of the world your crosshairs/sights are for your teammates to see, making call outs much more easy
-Zoning mechanic works in sectors of the map rather than circles and they instantly become dangerous as soon as the timer runs out.
-Spawning system is very fair allowing you to pick from a sqared out map a single spot for you (and your party) to spawn in on. After a spot have been picked enemy players cant click on it. Everyone Spawns at the same time.
-While waiting to spawn you have a kit selection, you can either pick from a gilder / snowboard / climbing+zip-line kit which come a glock+ammo/usp+ammo/double barrel shotgun+ammo respectively and all of them come with bandages. Bear in mind that from first to last, kits have varying carry weight, climbing+zipline being the one with the highest and glider with the smallest.
-In the end instead of an increasingly smaller play area, you have to fight your way to board an evac helicopter which can be boarded by 4 different people (which means potentially 4 different parties can all get first place).
-Looting is much more confortably done than in pubg, compatible attachments are automatically equiped to a weapon after pick up making looting a much confortable experience.
-Vehicles dont kill you, the do have low hp though so be wary of getting shot too much while driving.

Now on to the things that i consider bad in the game:

-The end game, while good in concept, is very problematic, currently as of making this review, you are given some time after the heli spawns then the zone starts hurting you, slowly, then another timer to reveal all remaining unboarded players on the minimap as well as the snow storm becoming much thicker hindering your view, all of these combined with the pressure to get on the heli + damage-over-time push people into the much hated "Camp-while-healing" strat which as the name implies, relies on a low risk, high reward (as long as you can keep healing) camping battle where you just heal until everyone else dies from not having enough meds or either just heal until you run out of meds are are forced to leg it to the heli.

Now if at this point you havent caught on, the heli doesnt land, it instead hovers in place and you gotta climb a rope ladder to board. I guess you can see the problem here, if you're close enough you can effectively deny anyone from climbing the ladder while you heal yourself continuously; rushing mindlessly to the ladder/climbing it will most of the time get you killed unless you've cleared out everyone else or the remaining player(s) dont have a shot on you. This camping meta reigns on all matches even in solos where even if all seats are available for escape and theres 4 people left, they will still snipe you out of the ladder even when everyone knows all 4 can win.

This adds some tension, however, a good, quick-thinking player can rush the campers since they're shown on the map (they can also see the rusher though) and with enough skill, rushing campers can net you a win fairly often. I have tried it and have won many times but this is a BR and almost everything from loot to the spawning point of the helicopter is random so even though you can do everything right, if RNGeesus isnt on your side, you aint winning that match.

That being said, its not the only problem, as it currently stands, bullet drop and bullet speed are ridiculously unbalanced, at about 5 meters you NEED to lead moving targets with any weapon except for snipers and semi-snipers not to mention that these dont drop almost at all compared to ARs and SMGS which feel like you're shooting a brick since the proyectiles start falling off very fast, now dont get me wrong, i know that there shoud be a good difference between all weapon types specially long range snipers/marksman rifles and ARs and SMGs but i think the AR and SMG side of things along with their bullet speeds are too far behind even marksman rifles to keep up. While i can get behind bullets falling off early, the bullet speed should be tweaked a little bit.

Now, its not all pink and black, the game can still be fixed in the future...

Theres been some patches which have made the game much more stable.

HOWEVER, this game will punish you for not having a powerful CPU, i currently have an i5-2400, 8gb ddr3 ram and a 660Ti 2gb gddr5 rig. I frame-drop fairly often. It doesnt last long though and typically still stays over 40fps; besides, i often hover on the 55-60fps all due high cpu usage even though my cpu is supposed to be on the recomended requirements which leads me to belive tencent has a very low standard for computer hardware. Additionally, belive me when i say, this game uses much more CPU than GPU id advice getting at least a CPU as powerful as mine and something equal to a gt730 gpu (the one listed as minimum requirement) since a cpu like mine will bar you from playing at anything but low (dont worry the game only changes render distance which, even at low, its still as far as you will ever need.) so you wont need a powerful gpu.

Other than that i occasionally happen is that i spawn in, yet, the buildings and the terrain around me have not loaded, the game allows me to move, however the collisions are still there so unless im familiar with the layout of the area, i just wait it out, it often doesnt take more than 20secs to load everything properly. While this is happening, i dont see people moving around at all, everyones frozen but others can see me move, i also cannot loot at all.

Besides the problems, the game is absolutely gorgeous and very fun and dynamic, the performance leaves a lot to be desired specially since this game doesnt have the best graphics. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

If you have read everything till the end, id love if you could leave a thumbs up on this review if it helped you at all, bye~

Ok so you heard about this game, you like FPS and you have played many others before and want something new.

Wellcome to Black Squad, CSGO's and CoD's love child, this game will feel very similar to both however it does have its own identity inside the very crowded fps genre, while not replacing the already stablished IPs, Black Squad shows that its got what it needs to be a propper fps worthy of becoming e-sports.

It is known that the game was originally released in Korea and is very famous over there, however, this new release has already left the korean's versions boots and has gone on its own path patching the game periodically with new weapons, and slight changes that have already made the game play differently than its korean counterpart. If you are a FPS vet or just like the genre and looking something good to try out, definately play this game, you are not going to regret it.

And now, because i do enjoy making lists, there you have a nice big list of the Pros and the Cons that come with playing this game:

Pros
-Feels like home for Cross-Fire/CSGO players, specially when sniping.
-The only F2P Shooter that isnt P2W.
-Guns are permanent and you do not have to repair them.
-Fair ammount of maps with significant advantages for both teams.
-Amazing optimization, even a toaster can run this game. Provided you are willing to down the graphics.
-Amazing graphics that can rival some newer titles.
-The sounds are very well-made, you can know which gun was shot and were with precision.
-Custom Matches, allowing you to edit the game's values to your liking, playing pre-made modes like knife only.
-Clan Matches, allows you to set up a team of 5 and match you with other clans
-Quick Matches, a fast way for you to play 1 of the 5 available modes: TDM, Demo 8v8, Demo 5v5, Assasination or Battle Mode.
-New Mechanic called Fatal Shots, which are, FaceShots, allowing almost every weapon the potential to kill in 1 headshot provided the bullet lands in the face.
-Almost every map in the game has these spots for set up granades which are amazing and proof that knowledge can sometimes give you a couple of kills.
-Simple friendlist system.
-Has buttons to tweak mouse sensitivity while ingame.
-Color filters and Contrast settings to ease on the eyes.
-Whisper system remembers who have you whispered and gives you a list after you do /w in chat so you can pick who to whisper.
-Simple and easy to use party system up to 5 party member max (only 4 if you're playing anything besides demo 5v5 or clan matches though).

Cons
-Poor gun balance.
-Half of the Automatic weapons in this game are practically lasers of varying damages.
-The hitreg needs to be revised.
-TDM does not use demo maps.
-On that note, the TDM are completely garbage, statics spawns, too small/open. No cover where there should be cover and viceversa
-Statics spawns for TDM along with poorly made maps means that often you will see some spawn trapping
-No way to buy weapons temporarily, specially annoying since theres no other way to test them and some weapons need some grinding to be adquired.
-Many sights in game (ADS) are misaligned to variable degrees. Beating the purpose of ADSing at all
-No matchmaking system, a lv0 player might be matched against lv20. While the actual number on their level does not really matter towards skill, someone whos fresh started are probably not good enough to give any trouble to high level players who have obviously played for many hours and have developed skills for this game.
-No ping limit as of 28-08-2017 (albeit, its on the testing on the EU servers ATM it hasnt been properly implemented in the other regions nor do we know if its gonna work in the same way and at the same limit which is 200ms atm).
-the netcode highly benefit the high pingers.

I will probably be adding more stuff as the game gets updated but these are just the ones i can think of from the top of my head.
