There is this game where you have to save a town with a unique culture from a mysterious disease. There is no outside help. Its just you and the town and you have to save it from damnation. This game is Pathologic 2 and it is criminally underrated.

Pathologic is like a survival detective type of thing. Its a work of anthropology and pathology. Can you figure out the rituals and traditions of the townspeople? Can you figure out the disease? Can you answer your questions? How will you ration your supplies?

It has high levels of sophistication in regard to story, language and lore. There is lots of reading, but in laps. The writing and the lore has a unique character. Your choices, vague as they may seem, really matter.

It has shooting, fighting, stealing, sneaking, hiding, fleeing, investigating, questioning, crafting, organizing, managing, surviving and trading. But all of that in unorthodox ways.

I like Dark Souls, FF7, RDR2, DOOM, HL2, Prey, Resident Evil as much as the next guy, but my favorite and most unforgettable game is Pathologic 2. Don't miss out on this masterpiece!
