played it a bit so far and its great

Really great strategy game. Mechanics are balanced, and the missions are cleverly designed. There is a LOT of story/gameplay beyond the main mission, which took me about 10 hours of relaxed gameplay to finish. Now I am just delving into the other sectors.

This is a very worthy remaster of Homeworld. Mod suport is great, the graphics look really good. And you get both Homeworld 1 and 2 and their respective remasters with this.

Can definitely recommend this expansion. The fallen spire campaign is very interesting (even story-wise) and fun to play through and got a lot of strategical and tactical depth. Also adds a few other minor factions and quite a lot of ships and the AI gets an array of new weapons.
The Soundtrack additions are really nice to hear, relaxing and also engaging at the same time.

If you like AI War but do not have this: pick it up, its definitely worth it!

This game is an awesome, replayable and content rich RTS Game, but very underrated/unknown by the community.
If you look for a strategic and tactical versatile (coop) Space RTS then go ahead and buy this, it is cheap and can bring hundreds of hours of fun, making the it very attractive from a fun per $ view. Its very configurable and you can enable and disable and tweak almost everything. Each game I played so far (and I have played for over 120 hours already at the time of this review) was different than the rest of the games. Also it is surprisingly demanding and if you do not play it at easy or very easy you really need to think about your next steps or else you might find yourself being crushed by the devious AI. The AI is quite sophisticated and can be scaled from pretty laughable to insanely diabolical (and really strong).

/update: The expansions (DLC) offer a lot of new content, new ways to win games and new adversaries. At their price point, especially in sales, I can recommend them highly. So far, I have only won about 2 or 3 games and lost a couple more, considering my playtime of 150+ hours this can give an insight into how long a round actually lasts.
