This is the epitome of the Fallout franchise! New Vegas is NV, but it also comes with that little bit of Bethesda-influence--y'know... legandery franchise dumbed-down to appeal to widest audience possible. This game is NV before NV was even conceived, and it has those old-school stylings/mechanics that work fairly well with this game, on top of the original FO humor & goofiness (much of which Bethesda just removed completely). It's also a far greater challenge than the modern FO versions, and perhaps most importantly, it doesn't babysit you the whole way through the questlines, showing you exactly where to go with arrows (and often even whole plotted courses), so anyone can fall asleep through the story and still stumble around blindly to the end. This game actually requires you to think a little.

I've played this game for hundreds of hours on the Xbox. The main quest is so much fun (whoever designed Oblivion is a real sicko; thank you for your service, sir)! I've gone through most of the side quests, and all of the DLCs. I think Shivering Isles may be the single best DLC ever made; it's definitely the best I've played, at least. Everybody knows this game is awesome, so stop kidding yourself, quit reading this review, and download the game!

A great game if you're looking for learn more about TES lore. It's quite huge (a little overbearly so, at times), taking you all over the entire map of Tamriel, or most therein! There'll be plenty of TES knowledge to be gained from exploring this game world. It's leveling and skill system are pretty different from the other solitary games, so if you're a veteran of those games, it may seem a little off-putting and awkward. It does seem to be more oriented toward action/adventure gaming rather than RPG, but the basics of the combat will bring it all back home for the player.

Classic! Get a deeper understanding of TES lore. Very immersive. I'm hoping that TES 6 gameplay mechanics and skill leveling system will be a conglomeration of Skyrim's and Morrowmind's/Oblivion's systems. Those who know what I mean, know what I mean!

A quick little game if you're interesting in a some creepy stories/settings and get your nerves running with a few jump-scares throw in. It's not so scary that you can't go on, but it has a few moments that will get anybody. I completed a storyline in seven hours.

This ia a game that takes itself very seriously. I know that might sound bad because such games can be very intimidating at first. This was my first experience with the Far Cry series. I was attracted to the game for the setting and story more than the franchise itself. It was a little bit of am adjustment, having played mostly Bethesda/Obsidian games recently. The tutorial is short, leaving much to be desired, but it does drop some hints here and there as you progress. This turned me off from the game for a while. It's hard to enjoy the storyline when you don't even have at least a beginner's understanding of the basic gameplay mechanics. That said, once I did eventually go back to the game, got a sense of the controls, I found it incredibly immersive! It's one of those games you wake up at 3:30 in the morning and pop out of bed with an overwhelming urge to get back into the story.

Who doesn't already know that this is a good game? It's been out for, like, seven years!

Team Fortress 2 is the kind of game people start out with, and then they branch out to other games. I'm sure many people look back at this game and think about that milestone in their lives.
